First Pitch 12:10 p.m. CDT
Kyle Gibson (3-6, 4.94 ERA, 59K, 1.451 WHIP)
Matt Andriese (6-2, 2.72 ERA, 57K, 1.026 WHIP)
Lest we forget, Joe Mauer is still very good at baseball. He's 16 for 25 on this road trip for a .640 batting average. See the ball, hit the ball. With a stick.
Joe Mauer 2016: .280/.382/.414/.795 118 OPS+
Mark Teixeira 2016: .199/.288/.341/.629 69 OPS+
Play ball!
So the Rays scored first. Again.
The first two innings have taken quite a while, especially considering only one run was scored.
Dazzle hinted that he thinks Robbie Grossman will be the odd man out when Plouffe comes back. My guess, though, is that Dazzle's just talking and the doesn't actually have any inside information.
SANO!!!!!!!
Think what he could do if he had a better work ethic.
Glad to see Gibson go right after the next batter after the home run. Too many times I see a pitcher give up a home run and then act like he's afraid to throw the ball over the plate.
And then, of course, he walks the next batter on four pitches.
Well, I'm out the rest of the day, so if anyone else is around, you'll have to bring this one home. Go Twins!
Jepsen with an insurance run for the Twins.
Just got home and see the Twins leading and adding on runs. NICE!
Just walk Longoria from now on.
Did Sano shatter a chair with that home run line drive? holy cows!
Didn't see but Sano did have a Trop first.
We're still on track for 96-66!
