"Fare thee well"? Headed to Belfast?
New DJ coming. Starting after the pledge drive. Be sure to give meat a two cheek kiss.
Not a Fredo kiss on the lips?
What to say about this piece of work? He was the black sheep, a permanent pariah. He asked no quarter of the bosses, and none was given. He learned no lessons, he acknowledged no mistakes. He was as stubborn an downstater as ever stumbled out of Lackawanna Parishes to take a Videojock’s shield. He brooked no authority. He did what he wanted to do. He said what he wanted to say.
He was natural VJ.
And I don’t say that about many people, even when they’re here on the felt. I don’t give that one up unless it happens to be true.
Natural VJ.
But what an [redacted]! And I’m not talking about the normal gaping orifice that all of us possess. I mean an all encompassing, all consuming, out of proportion to every other facet of his personality, chasm from, to let me quote Shakespeare, no traveler has ever returned.
To conclude my eulogistic remarks I say that he gave us many years on the line, not enough for a pension, but enough to learn he was, despite his negligible Minnesotan ancestry, his defects of personality, and his inconstant sobriety and hygiene, a true wgom VJ.
Meat, I say this seriously, if it was my soundtrack lying there dead on some NOLA sidewalk I’d want it to be you standing over it catching the case because, brother, when you were good you were the best we had.
meat - I hope you appreciate hj cutting open a vein here (as the rest of us just stand around gawking at the unmarked grave).
Not to put too fine a point on it, I concur with his requiem - your contributions will be missed. Now don't go pulling a buffalo/painter as you've been relieved of your duties. Someone with refinement needs to be around to position the doilies and smooth the duvets.
Poor Cole...
I had no idea that colesberry played him in the series ,and died unexpectedly during filming. I've almost rewatched up to that point again.
