Why would you ever save the ball towards the opponent's basket?
My sickness is still going strong. I've had a cough for just shy of four weeks now. Doctor said it is likely a virus, so nothing to do about it other than just wait. It's very gradually improving, but at its current rate it may hit two full months before it is finally gone. I'm really hoping it goes away faster than that, though, since my teaching load will jump from one class to six in two weeks.
I had that and was prescribed a steroid a prescription strength cough suppressant. Did wonders for my comfort.
Must be three years ago now that I had one like that. Two+ months. It seemed to trained new reactions in my body such that I still often have a violent cough when first breathing in colder air, despite no trace of a cough otherwise.
The sinus congestion I had in Mexico is mostly gone, and thankfully I got no scratchy throat or cough, which is the typical scenario.

holy crap, Mike. What's up with that? Did you shift courses around for some reason?
I was thinking the same thing. Dr. Chop is at a 4/4 (but is always searching out grant funding to lessen the load) and that's plenty. Good luck staying sane.
We are currently in a 6-week intercession, so classes are compressed 2.5 times vs. a normal 15 week semester.
I normally teach 2 in the winter, but cut back this year to try to deal with the chair's duties I now have to do. 5 classes is the normal regular semester load, but I almost always take on an extra section.
In other words, this is actually less teaching than normal for me.
Went to Winding Trails to skate-ski yesterday. Saw a cluster of ducks on the open water on the lake there, but no bincocs.
So today, I brought my binoculars along. Saw a Hooded Merganser in a group of four. I've got a photo but the birds are like blips.
My folks are in town, and we had a great day planned. We were going to hit up the west bank for Vietnamese food, and pack some Bahn Mi out to the Jean Lafitte National Wilderness Preserve to see some wild life and then make dinner at our place. We had to stop by Jefferson Variety to buy costume material for Mardi Gras first, and when we came out I discover a completely flat tire. It took me 45 minutes to get the lug nuts free, and then another 25 minutes to pry the rim from the hub. I've never used so many cuss words. Get the tire off and get the doughnut on only to discover that the spare is almost flat. Crax. Moar cussing. Tell ma to shield her ears.... Get to costco and they plug the tire for free (!), but takes them 2.5 hours. Sent the folks home in an Uber (!), and wandered the isles before napping on the leather sectional couch in isle 24. Back home without the experiences planned. Flank steak fajitas (pronounced with a hard j by my old man) on the grill shortly.
my dad was itching to go to the Second Sunday Food Truck Mania downtown in my burg. My mom, not so much. She refused to eat anything. Super fun.
also, one of the contractors came back today with his stucco guy for a second look-see. They think we need to replace ALL of the windows (not just on the south side). Insurance adjuster better be showing up tomorrow or there will be words.

I'm reading
with a Best Country Album Grammy.
Gave a decent, if perfunctory performance, too.
