In progress: Kole Calhoun got his homer out of the way already. Fortunately, with no one on base.

It's not often you can give up a run on 2 hits on single-digit pitches in an inning. Angels definitely being aggressive.
Kole Calhoun. Parker Bridwell.
The Angels are the team when you're ten years deep in franchise mode.
Im pretty sure I heard a Parker Bridwell record on the Yacht Rock channel.
Ha. Is yacht rock a real thing?
It was on XM radio for a while.
That sounds really terrifying.
I actually laughed thinking about the metal head's personal hell. All yacht rock all the time.
Depends, is it always on because I have a yacht? Because that doesn't sound so bad.
A true hell would probably be, like, all Linkin Park all the time.
I enjoyed it. But I didn't listen to it non stop. Lots of Micheal McDonald and Mike McD era Doobie Brothers.
It's still on. I like it, but my favorite station is still The Bridge.

Solo home runs can't hurt us. /dizzle
Santana has truly had a strange season. In all 17 starts, he's either allowed 1 earned run or less or more than 4 earned runs. Obviously, he's had a lot more of the latter lately. With this Angels lineup, I predict he'll do the former, although he's already giving up 1 run, so no margin for error now.
No love for Rosario from the booth tonight.
Cole Kalhoun has 12 home runs this season, 5 against the Twins in 7 games.
Sano wants the Royals to hold his beer.
It looks like Santana is getting locked in.
Angels TV broadcast just did a side-by-side comparison of Molitor's swing with Buxton's leg-kick-less swing.
FSN showed a replay of Buxton's hit and I immediately thought of Molitor.
Bux is on a roll
If I'd started a drinking game where I took a shot every time Jack said "short to the ball" tonight I'd be hammered already.
Bridwell hung 2 curves to Sano, but both of them stayed up enough so he couldn't crush them. I hate when a pitch is so bad that it still is good. It was not at all the intention of the pitcher to put it where it ended up but it still works. Of course, pitchers will say that there are times they execute perfectly, but the pitch is still hit hard or finds a hole somewhere.
So they should probably never bring a camera up there again.
Dick and Jack were just arguing about the ground rules and MLB.tv shit the bed. I don't think that was a coincidence.
Is that what happened? I'm not listening to them, but I did very a little shudder right before things went wacko.
Power outage at Target Field
It feels like the Twins should be up 4-1.
Babe Calhoun
On the grill* tonight, stir fry tofu sesame style.
*no grill was used.
On the grill* tonight: pork chops with a mushroom cream sauce and a baked sweet potato.
*a grill was used
Baked sweet potatoes are awesome.
i really wish the guy with a .341/.415/.503 career line vs. LAA was in the lineup tonight.
Wait a minute. Let's not be calling it a complete game yet.
I was thinking the same thing...
Welp, out with a whimper.
If you're going to lose, that's the way to do it so you don't use any of your relievers.
Only the 3rd Twins loss when allowing 2 runs (or less).
Twins are now 6-15 when trailing after the first inning. Conversely, they are 37-26 when they are not trailing after the first inning, and they are 13-5 when they are leading after the first inning.
I just caught bits and pieces of the game, but why was Mauer not used in the ninth inning? Is something wrong with hiim?

Mauer has back spasms.
Okay. Thanks!
