Good wrestling match last night.
Aaron Afflalo threw a nasty punch at Bjelica, who put him in a headlock to stop it right there pic.twitter.com/0zAKOb3r1v

I was flipping channels on the TV in the hotel and stumbled across the game just before this occurred. I wouldn't call it "throwing a nasty punch" so much as "trying to throw a nasty punch"
Oh, he threw it alright. He just didn't make solid contact. Thank goodness. Because that had Rudy T potential.
I love that after the whiff, he just puts Afflalo in a headlock and throws his other arm up like, hey, somebody get this idiot off me.
My son asked me what that was and I said "Looks like Hockey"
Purchasing departments can go right to hell.
I'll second that. Ugh.
My culinary school roommate’s Michelin-starred restaurant in Chicago is closing, apparently because the corporate hospitality group that backed it felt their business model wasn’t raking in enough green.
You should tell him Alexandria, MN is an incredible town with lots of lakes. While you are at it I am looking for a chef. 🙂
Believe me, moving back to Minnesota sounds better all the time.
Except cold. The past few weeks have me questioning my sanity of starting a business in Minnesota. Of course, I go through this every year about this time and then in about April or May I remember why I love it here so much.
This is my favorite season, so the colder, the better. Mrs. Hayes is the exact opposite. Her half of the bed regularly features a heated mattress pad & heating pad, plus occasionally a heated blanket.
Same dynamic here. The Milkmaid and I, this time of year, rarely sleep in the same room.
I was sitting in my chair last night, the house was about 65 degrees, and my wife came out and was all "aren't you cold ?" no matter how many times she asks me that, I am never able to be anything other than flummoxed because I'm always competely comfortable. Empathy for people who are cold all the time is a thing I do not possess.
Sadly, I am slowly moving in the direction of frequently cold. Not lizard-like as with the Mrs. But sometimes I complain that the house is cold. (We keep it at about 62 in the winter. She likes about 12 blankets on her side if the bed).
My dad used to be comfortable all the time, then he had his heart attack, and now he's cold all the time.
I am one of those who is cold all the time. Especially my hands--they're pretty much always freezing this time of year.
My extremeties are usually cold, but that doesn't mean I am in general though. I do enjoy an afghan when relaxing in the chair, whether it's needed or not
For the first 2 years we lived out here, I was in T-shirt and shorts everyday (at home, at least). Now, if the house drops below 70, I'm in a sweatshirt or sweater and pants.
Cold? Record setting lows in New Orleans has me very worried as my pipes are frozen despite having driped them all night. Pray for me.
Winter has come to Sean Payton
If this is the price I have to pay for such satisfaction so be it.
It's weird that we don't get such hard-hitting stories about American coaches and managers.
Well, that didn't take long. Company sold last week, unemployed this week. I'm getting too old for this shit.
That sucks.
If there's anything I can do, let me know.
craptasm. Sorry, Twayn.
Any chance that State of Minn. departments are looking for someone with your Very Particular Set of Skills, Acquired Over A Very Long Career?
There's a website for that I'll be checking out. Civil service doesn't sound so bad when you've been through as many market upheavals as I have.
Don’t cross the river.
Sorry, man. Best wishes for many good possibilities.
Gross. Should you need any help with the vagaries of state employment, hit me up.
That bites. Best of luck. We're here for ya.
That sucks. I've been there. Five years ago the company I was working for was bought out by a competitor, who took the customers and closed the shop and laid off pretty much all the employees.
I hear Apple's hiring, however.
I need some car labor and some pipe unfreezing, but I don't pay very well. (though the rent is the right price and we're right above the quarter...) /sorrybrother
Sorry to hear that, man. All Hail the mighty shareholder (and the execs who probably got their nice, golden parachutes.)
Good luck with searching. Hopefully you find something soon (and something fulfilling).
Sorry to hear that brother Twayn, that truly sucks. You know how to get a hold of me if you need anything, but in case you don't it is my name @gmail.com, or my company @gmail.com. Everyone is hiring up here, so if you need a change of scenery you should send me your unique talent summary and I can let you know if something opens up in the sticks. I have people who know people. I will call next time I head your way and we can get together and plot against corporate America.
Ugh, good luck with your job search!
Ditto to what everyone else has said. You are in our prayers.
Sweet god almighty, after several hours under the house, and the discovery of an electric blanket, we have free flowing water from the pipes. Now, tomorrow will tell if we've ruptured anything.
Tonight my mom called to tell me that her brother, my Uncle Bill, died. I was with the boys when I got the call and as much as I was trying to act “normal” while on the phone, they wanted to know immediately what had happened. So I told them, and the three of us cried together for a bit. My uncle was just in town Christmas, and none of us had any idea it would be the last time we’d see him.
My uncle lived alone his entire adult life and despite being the son of a doctor and a nurse, he had no interest in any sort of medical care. He was born deaf in one ear and had been losing hearing in the other ear, so there was a fair amount of shouting when he was around. But somehow, the communication challenges never got in the way of him bonding with my boys.
My uncle was a Dodgers fan going back to their Brooklyn days, when he was just a young kid. This past summer, we had a week-long vacation in Maine, and my uncle joined us. Every night, he and the jalapeño watched baseball together, and it was so sweet to see the way the game brought them together.
I really wish Uncle Bill had been with us longer, but I sure am grateful for the time we did have with him.
Sorry to hear that. You and all the family are in our prayers.
Sorry for your loss, Pepper.
Likewise.
Condolences. Thanks for sharing your uncle with us.
"Off-Season's Greetings" will take a couple of days off. If all goes according to plan, it will be back Saturday.

T. C. Bear is cool.
Gladden and Morris on the same caravan? Nobody is allowed on the lawn on that tour.
All Premier League coaches ranked by how likely they are too eat a worm
