Yes! It will be interesting to see who gets dropped when Romero is called up in a couple days. Most likely will DFA Magill. Is Romero on the 40-man? I'm guessing so, so won't need to make room there. Might just send Curtiss back down. It will be an interesting decision on what to do when Santana is ready. Will still have a few weeks to decide.
Sounds more likely that Sano will be going on the DL. The Twins have no infielders in the minors who are on the 40-man and no catchers and only 2 outfielders. This seems like very poor roster management. The Twins will have to DFA someone to replace Sano, unless they put Santana on the 60-day DL, which probably wouldn't delay his return by more than a few days, if any.
He has a $28 million player option (technically, an Early Termination Option, whatever that means). No way he's turning that down, because he's not getting anything close to that from somebody else. How does OKC unload him? He had negative VORP this year, after being barely in the positive range last year in NY. And he'll be 34.
Unreal phone call today. The boy tells me he was given a $30k scholarship. Wow. Plus up to 3k in computer reimbursement. I am shocked and grateful.
Earned. He earned a scholarship. Congrats!
Where to?
Thanks! Takes after his mother. He is going to the U of M for Engineering.
Funny thing was, we told him filling out all the application requirements was his responsibility. Mom nagged him for 2 months, and sure enough, he was in a mad scramble on deadline day. We scanned and sent everything at 11:45pm for a midnight deadline. I told my wife he probably blew it with sneaking in last second. Great relief to see him get that scholarship! We have lots of money tied into the business start up, so we won't be able to help a ton for either kid. Slept really good last night. 🙂
What time is it? No, seriously.
Just took a canal tour of Copenhagen, and after a lunch on the sidewalk cafe, we're off by train to Kronberg Castle
Don't get too stoned in Christiania.
One of my favorite Country songs.
Well, the Christiania Wikipedia page has been my morning.
The last time I was there the Christiania experience was more than just my morning.
heh. that place is weird, all right.
Yep, we caught the story on our canal cruise.
Took the metro to Kronberg Castle in Helsingor, which was pretty cool.
I have much enjoyed following your travels from what you've posted here and on the FB. Glad it's been such a successful trip!
TC hat sighting!! The elderly gentleman across from us at Mama Rosa's Pizza; his wife said they're from the Twin Cities.
John Curtiss called up. He could be a guy that sticks with the Twins, depending on if the rotation can stabilize and throw more innings.
It strikes me that being the long man for the Twins is sort of like being the guy who wears the red shirt on the original Star Trek.
where's Bootsy and his Photoshop Skillz when we need them?
We need a Bootsy signal, stat!
*blows off dust*
That explains the horrible performance on Friday night.
or drummer for Spinal Tap?
Yeah, you're choices are never pitch in a game or pitch once and then get sent down.
Hughes moves to the bullpen and Romero to make the start on Wednesday.

In which 'Melo totally builds his market value and says all the nice things about OKC.

Great news indeed! Congratulations!
