Counter argument: this could remove any last vestiges of f***s I have left to give to this organization.
FFS, though, that is just the dumbest possible thing.
dumber than benching Kevin Love?
dumber than drafting Wesley Johnson ahead of DeMarcus Cousins, Greg Monroe, Gordon Hayward and Paul George?
dumber than the Joe Smith debacle?
Wow. I had actually blocked the Joe Smith debacle from my memory.
Well, OK, from a purely basketball standpoint, no. But considering rose is, at best, a piece of shit of a person, I stand by what I said.
So much stupid. Hard to pick out the bottom.
so true. Sigh.
Maybe Donald Sterling could buy the club. That would probably improve things.
Also, I would point to the decision to trade the rights to Ray Allen for the rights to Stephon Marbury. That deal had long-term implications (e.g., his general annoyingness and lack of living up to his own hype; his conflict with Googs; and his engineering his trade to NJ for Terrell Brandon -- a really good trade if not for Brandon's subsequent injury problems).
Well, yes, I knew about the scandal. That was the point -- that scandal destroyed the franchise's future. For Joe Smith! And then when they did have a pick, they picked a dude who wasn't good enough to play in the D league.
I have a theory that Derrick Favors is going to play the Joe Smith role this off-season.
The Ndudβ did not abide.
Johnny Flynn over Steph Curry, now and forevermore.
How about keeping Flynn and trading away Ty Lawson.
Yes, of course. Hereβs the original sin for me, though. Firing Bill Musselman and hiring Jimmy Rodgers.
And just in case you didn't know, friends, Bill Musselman was fired for "winning too much". Jimmy solved that problem, going 23-90 before he got the hook.
Interesting side note: Tom Thibideau was also fired. Maybe I'd feel differently about Musselman now, but back then, his teams played hard every single night and he wanted to win. Here's a coincidence: the fans wanted them to win, too.
The period between them drafting Ricky Rubio and Flynn, where I was convinced they'd have Ricky & Steph, is probably the second most excited I've ever been for the team's future, behind the day they drafted KAT. Frown.
That was a giddy five minutes, for sure.
Not here.
EPL Prediction contest. I donβt know how many years Iβve had a lead late, only to cough it up. I was up by 5 points last Sunday night.
So, word is the show the Boy worked on (Donuts) is not being renewed. Not a problem for Mr. Bigshot Screenwriter, but bummer for all of his colleagues who have to find new gigs.
I guess that's show biz, but it's still a tough deal for him. Hope he can find something else soon.
He has enough scratch from his film deal for a couple of years. Enough time for (him and) his agent to hook him up for more writing opportunities.
Did we ever figure out the rule for if a runner who is out can occupy a base, ala the end of the last night's game?
Rhett Bollinger's recap at MLB described Buxton's double as "roped" to left.
Hahahahaha!
Is Rhett Bollinger an AI, writing its story from the box score?
So much for not drinking the water π
Im still giddy about Buxton getting a double on a routine single to LF.
In case anyone missed:
And he really didn't look like he was running full-out on it.
My sentiments, exactly.
Thibs needs to be hurled three states over via catapult.

This is a horror show to look at.
I wonder how the franchise fell apart toward the end of the aughts. One first round pick between 1999 and 2005 and it was Ndudi Ebi.
I assume you are joking.

Robinson Cano fractures his hand a day before the Mariners play their makeup game with the Twins.
