I've been severely derelict in my game log creation lately
No reason to step it up just yet.
Berrios on the mound, through a solid inning already.

We are all going through the motions this September, taking the lead from the Twins front office by leaving good players sit out.
Wiggle, wiggle.
Quick a bit of nibbling by Berrios, there. Leave that stuff to Bad Kyle Gibson.
Twins need a baserunner
Pretty crazy that their guy has a PERFECT GAME through five innings.
Like, he hasn't given up a baserunner
Not even one.
He had a rough second inning, but Berrios is pretty sharp tonight, too.
Oh sure. You can jinx HIM.
gave up a run, we lost this game
Gotta say. I was rooting for dueling shutouts with some Harvey Haddix action.
Fort Myers scored eight runs in the first inning and leads Daytona 10-2 with the Tortugas batting in the seventh. Royce Lewis hit a three-run homer in the inning. Griffin Jax pitched six shutout innings before giving up a couple of runs in the seventh. A win would give the Miracle a 2-0 lead in the best-of-five league championship series.
Ryan Jeffers singled home a run in the first to give Cedar Rapids a 1-0 lead. The Kernels are batting in the fourth. Bryan Sammons has struck out five in four shutout innings.
I mean, it's not like the Twins aren't getting the bat on the ball. But none of them are falling. Not a single one.
Joe is seriously due.
David Banuelos delivers an RBI double in the fourth. Cedar Rapids now leads 2-0 in the bottom of the fifth.
Fort Myers had a bases-loaded hit batsman in the seventh to increase its lead to 11-2. The game is now in the bottom of the eighth.
The Miracle added another run in the eighth on a Travis Blankenhorn single. They lead 12-2 going to the ninth.
Cedar Rapids continues to lead 2-0 with the game now in the bottom of the sixth.
Well, the Twins' 1088 game hitting steak is in jeopardy.
Cedar Rapids still leads 2-0 through six.
The Fort Myers game is over. The Miracle wins 12-2 to take a 2-0 lead in the league championship series.
I didn't remember that Shore's "imperfect game" was against the Senators.
Also, neither the Twins nor the Senators have ever been no hit at home.
At this point, I need to see if this happens. I've got lots and lots of boxes to pack before the 19th.
Thaaaaat was not a strike.
At least it won't be a perfect game.
Baker got further.
That's the closest I've gotten to watching a perfect game wire-to-wire.
1089!
No no hitter!
I've never seen a perfect game wire-to-wire before.
Nerves seemed to get him.
And a hit! Thank goodness.
Now let's get some runs.
We even avoided the shutout! Moral victory time!
And Peoria puts together five singles in the eighth inning to take a 3-2 lead. We're through 7 1/2.
In the bottom of the eighth, Michael Davis triples and scores on a Jacob Pearson single. Tied 3-3 going to the ninth.
Peoria gets a two-run single from Nick Dunn in the ninth. The Kernels go down in order. Peoria wins 5-3 and takes a 1-0 lead in the series.
