5. Dan Gladden Hits a Grand Slam in Game 1
This is literally my first memory as a Minnesota Twins fan. I'm sure I watched plenty of games before this one, but I had just turned seven years old and I still remember where I was sitting when Gladden did this.
12. Jason Kubel Slams for the Cycle
Would love to see the WGOM game log for this.
Little did we know in April how important this comeback would be for the final standings. The Twins had not been a high-scoring team in recent years, and when they blew a lead and fell down 8-3 in the 7th, you just figured it was over. Down 9-4 in the 8th, they rallied for 3 runs and had two men on with two out. Morneau was intentionally walked to bring up Jason Kubel. Kubel had already hit a single, double, and a triple at this point in the game. Why, wouldn’t it be poetic if he finished off the Twins comeback by hitting a home run?

No, Dazzle's homer does not remind me of Harmon Killebrew.
lol, had the same thought
I knock Bremer a lot, but that's a great call on the cycle.
Another highlight where Dick tries to shout over the crowd, rather than letting them tell the story. You’re doing TV, bud; we can see that it’s gone.
I like having a homer who will get as excited as me. As long as they're actually calling the play and not saying armchair things like, "Get out of here!" or "go! go!"
I disagree. Once he calls it, he lets the crowd noise play out as Kubel rounds the bases. The call itself is excited, but I don't ACTUALLY want a completely impartial observer calling the game. I don't necessarily want a Hawk, either, but this type of emotionally invested call is actually really great, imo.
That "triple" taints the cycle a little.
for sure. This moment is not based on the cycle so much than it is the come from behind grand slam during a great season
