Gosh, I practically cried again watching this.

It still seems ridiculous.

I did cry again watching this.
If I'd been making up the bracket, even just working from your list, there's no way I would have thought to make this a #1 seed. But it totally is. Good call.
I'm still mad at myself for missing his final game. I ran an errand during the game. My wife even said, "Sure you don't want to watch the game first?" I don't know why I didn't think I'd miss something huge like this.
Also, love that he doubled in his final at-bat.
Yup
Im not on Facebook
It's a picture I took of him with his daughters about an hour before that game saying it "feels like goodbye." A very emotional game.
I was very lucky with my Joe Mauer viewing in 2018.
I was in KC when he passed Puckett for most doubles by a Twin.
I brought my kids to the game where he passed Carew to take 2nd all time for hits by a Twin.
I was at the Friday night game before his last game, and the atmosphere was amazing - him tipping his cap when he was pulled late in the game, the cheers, etc.
You'd better believe I watched that entire last game.
I don't think I'll ever have a favorite like Mauer.
