I normally wouldn't play this as it's obviously not live, but Robert Smith's "performance" is hilarious.

O.k. I'll take the bait as obviously HJ saw me opine on Bluesky about this song.
First, Dear Prudence is my favorite Beatles song, so I'm pretty defensive about covers and I've listened to it dozens upon dozens of times.
The SatB version is decent. It's a good song so kinda hard to F it up when done professionally. But... they missed the essence of the song by making it a slicky produced pop song obviously created with the intent to make Siouxsie a big star.
It's way to fast and they miss the build up to the song's release in the last minute or so. It's a fun song to listen in your car, but not sure I need that from this song.
tl/dr - It's a decent version but doesn't even hold a candle to the original.
