I absolutely loved their show at the Fine Line back in March (although I was bummed I couldn't find DK). Their drummer was like Russell Brand except if Russell Brand was amusing to watch.

Like a not-insignificant amount of my current library, E-6 turned me on to this group (in his shoegaze mix I believe). They have some great songs on The Big Roar. I bet the live show was an absolute blast.
I'll be happy to second the emotion about bootsy's influence on a musical library. His soul food mix came on on the way back to baton rouge today. Excellent way to end a day of frustration.

Incidentally, meat, I initially made Soul Food for a friend of mine who is originally from New Orleans. After he'd listened to it a couple of times, he called me up and said, "Damn, white boy! I didn't know you had it in ya!" He burned copies for a several of his (10!) brothers who still live back in NOLA.
Yeah, I was sorry I missed you too. I think I told you before, but we got there early enough to be pretty close to the front and see both of the opening acts - Place to Bury Strangers were as earsplitting as advertised, and I also enjoyed the first act, Exitmusic (fronted by Boardwalk Empire actress Aleksa Palladino). Anyway, after APTBS's set the area we were in got packed in with people pretty quickly.
Great, great show, and band, though.
