There's no way I could let my guest week pass without some Craig Finn. This is the song that got me hooked. I guess I really like xylophones.

There is so much joy in what they do up there. They KILLED IT at the Rock the Garden. So much fun.
It was one of those perfect Minnesota summer nights that help remind you why we put up with the winters.
(Assuming we still have winters here.)
I'm going to see them tonight. I'm pretty excited.
My wife absolutely hates (HATES) them, but they put on a hell of a show. I'm jealous.
I've not really loved what I've heard of their records but a friend of mine who feels similarly regarding their recorded work says they put on the best show he's ever seen. It's in a pretty small venue, so I'm guessing it'll be good fun.
It's the only show where I've ever willingly navigated my way to the middle of the crowd to raise a beer and sing along. The way they feed off the crowd energy is great. I love the band, but even songs that I didn't care for came alive.
Huge thanks again to... meat, I think for linking me to the recording. It's fantastic.
