Johnny Baseball comes through for Caguas.  Sliding Billy Hamilton has a big day.  It was deuces wild in Santurce.

CAGUAS 8, SANTURCE 4 IN SANTURCE

Caguas:  Johnny Monell (San Francisco), who may or may not be called Johnny Baseball, was 3-for-5 with a walk and a two-run homer.  Ramon Castro was 2-for-5 with a walk and a double, scoring once and driving in one.  Fernando Hernandez pitched four shutout innings, giving up three hits and three walks with four strikeouts.

Santurce:  Billy Hamilton was 2-for-3 with two walks, a run, and three stolen bases.

The game:  Caguas scored two in the first, second, and fourth to go ahead 6-0.  The two in the fourth came on the Monell two-run homer.  Santurce got two back in the fifth, but Caguas got two more in the sixth, one scoring on a wild pitch and the other on a bases-loaded walk.  Santurce completed the scoring with two in the seventh.
