  8. I'm really glad they do it, but I don't understand why guys still fall for Love's fake like that. It seems to be a testament to how good he is with it, as well as to how dangerous his shot out there is. I love it.

    1. I like the Zgoda "LMA!" trolling that CH does. But yeah, glad McHale got the better of that deal.

    1. That was a really nice couple of minutes for him there. (loved that pass to Pek!) I really want him to get his had back in it and be good, but I wonder if he's just counting down the minutes until he can get back to a comfort zone in Russia.

        1. For tonight, I'm willing to let bygones be bygones and we can both focus on our other mortal enemy--Randy Whitman.

                1. Argh, I can't wait to get back into the country and have good beer again. Only thing I've had so far is Tsingtao Hans 9º, a tasteless, 3.6% beer. (To be fair, I expected this and there were 500 ml bottles available at no extra charge with the hotel dinner buffet. So I drank two last night.)

  18. over at the Wild game, Josh Harding continues to play elite level hockey. I would say look for an amazing set of saves on SportsCenter, but you know, they dont cover hockey.

    1. I'm not too worried because they are easily the better team, but the defense has been atrocious. I have no idea what they are trying to do, but they need to stop trying to do it.

  22. A few thoughts now that I am now holding children

    -Kevin Love is as good at offense as he is bad a defense
    -Seriously, he just watched Nene at one point, didn't even pretend to leave his feet
    -I feel like once the Wolves get up 10 they start to get a little too cute sometimes.
    -JJ is not so bad when he isn't the focal point of your offense
    -Does Brewer know he doesn't have to flail his limbs like an octopus when attempting a lay up?

    1. Hasn't Love been pretty good at D this year, though? B-Ref has his Drtg at 97. This sequence seems more like an outlier so far.

      I wonder if the Wolves try not to blow teams out too badly to make sure Shabazz doesn't come in.

      2. This isn't the first time he has allowed the opposing team to take an easy two. I feel he is worried about getting into foul trouble and sometimes just doesn't feel the risk is worth it. Is he right, who knows? It just looks as bad a a Jan Vesely dunk attempt when he stands there.

        1. Don't get me wrong, I think awfully highly of Love, he is an all-world player.Just, you know, a complainer has gotta complain.

          1. He did look very bad in the third, no doubt. That was a truly awful quarter and I hope never to have to think of it again.

              1. I am more worried than I was at the beginning of the run. However, I believe they will lock it down in the end. This is a Randy Wittman coached team, remember.

  23. Corey Brewer went from behind the half line to doing a spin move at the elbow in about .4 seconds.

  24. If I were an NBA player I think, in both style and substance, I would most closely resemble Dante Cunningham.

  27. Wolves' FG% is dropping like a rock. They're still shooting 45%, but I have trouble believing that.

  28. he was in foul trouble early, but it seems like Rubio has been out of this game for a long time.

    1. I haven't heard anything about an injury, but why else would Rubio be out for this long? Barea isn't playing that well.

    Me: "Yeah, that's usually a pretty good indication it was a foul."

    1. My Wolves feed went away so I had to go to the Wizards feed. There is no doubt the Wolves have a very good team and the Wizards is less good.

  37. This has been a very, very bad game. The Wolves should be ashamed of this second half and I hope it never happens again.
