We drove around the city looking at lights last night. It's not the same without snow on the ground, but the kids loved it.

Merry Christmas!
Happy Christmas, everyone.
It is a strange thing to walk through the streets of a small town shortly after midnight on Christmas morning. There were literally no signs of life. No lights on in houses, no automobiles moving, no other pedestrians, of course. Not even a dog barking. If not for the street lights, it would've seemed like a ghost town. As it was, it could've been a case of the rapture coming and I was Left Behind. There were no sounds except for my feet crunching the snow and the light snowfall hitting my coat. It was kind of peaceful, in a way, but also rather odd.
That sounds like about the most relaxing walk possible. Man, I should try that someone. I live in a small enough town that its dead late like that.
We did the Canyon Road (?) walk last night after dinner at the Plaza Diner.
Great dinner. Bataan stroll. I had my fill of street fires and candles in paper bags in about 5 minutes. And my back was killing me. Bah, humbug.
On the festivus miracle side, Santa Fe Bite (formerly Bobcat Bite). Green chile cheeseburger ftw. 10 oz of beefy deliciousness.
Merry Christmas! G was way more into presents than we expected he would be. It made for a fun night.
Merry Christmas, Citizens!
Now that's the holy spirit!
We tried some of that at a after-work happy hour not too long ago. Alright in sampler size, but I don't think I'd enjoy a whole bottle.
Merry Christmas all! The kids were reasonably well behaved at church, the food has been delicious, opening presents was a blast, and the intangibles have been well worth a multi-year contract.
The Mrs. & I were watching Scrooge yesterday and she commented that they never really specify what Tiny Tim's particular malady may be. I suggested it could be bilateral leg weakness. Come on Tiny Tim #playyousissy.
Being poor in Victorian London?
Yeah, there's that.
Merry Christmas, everyone! Had a great gathering of the wife's clan last night (too much food, too much wine, just enough pleasant conversation), opened presents and had a great breakfast this morning (waffles and sausage). Might go see Inside Llewyn Davis today, there's a 4:30 show at The Uptown. If that doesn't work out, then we'll probably check out the Smaugian desolation.
We saw American Hustle on monday. Highly recommended.
Saw Wolf of Wall Street. DiCaprio is awesome, but those are three hours I wish I could have back.
The drive to ND was a little dicey today, but we made it unscathed. 17 folks in the house, but still pretty calm.
I like the holidays and seeing everyone and all, but I wish I would stop getting asked when am I going to get a girlfriend and married. YOU DONT THINK I WANT A GAL IN MY LIFE? quit reminding me of my failures.

the song, perferably yes
the video..um no.
Made it to my mom's house alive, but a word of advice: don't give your two year old a laxative (she's a difficult pooper) before a three to four hour drive. Ugh.
we white-knuckled it there and back. that was fun.

i feel that this should have been obvious.
As a non-parent, I don't want to presume to know anything about raising a kid, but yeah, what hj said.
The thought was that she's get it out before we left. We were...incorrect.
Happy Xmas WGOM from NBB and NBBW!
(She has a bum wheel from last Saturday's 16 mile run - more to come on this).
Nice dinner with lil bro and family tonight in Northfield MN.
Wait, what? NBBLB lives in the town of cows, colleges, and contentment?
Blake Griffen got tossed from this game because of two tech fouls in the span of 90 seconds.
Let me shed a few tears here.
Dang, maybe I should have stayed up for the second half.
I have no idea why the NBA scheduled the best game to end at midnight. This game should have been flipped with the Heat-Lakers.
And there should be fewer Yankees/Red Sox televised games too, what's your point?
It was pretty awesome basketball, particularly down the stretch.
Griffin is dickish, but he should not have gotten the second t. Should have been a double foul and play on. Then Ryan Hollins threw an elbow at Bogut's head on the other end and only got a common foul. Doc chewed his ass out, however. That made me appreciate Doc more.
Merry Christmas!
