Yesterday I signed the prints of Caesar and Cleopatra that are going out to my game's backers and finalized the rule sheet. It's almost time.

Guess who's up early on a holiday weekend Saturday for no good reason because their client texted and said "Oh, you don't have to come over, the neighbors took care of the dogs."?
I was up just before 3AM and checked for meteors; was not the storm that was possible -- saw none. Checked online, looked up the box score from last night, and then gixen'd a couple Twins cards. Not getting that hour and a half back
That makes me feel better I didn't get up to see it. I thought about it, but with my morning today (the one that was scheduled, anyway) a 2-3 AM meteor shower just wasn't in the cards.
If it makes you feel any any better, I was forced to go to a high school graduation last night for my brother-in-law (I hate high school graduation) and didn't get home until after midnight, but still had to get up at 6 after a night of the boy screaming because we're having a garage sale this weekend. Blargh.
the boy was screaming because you're having a garage sale? well, guess I can understand that now that I think about it
we made the mistake of having a garage sale right before moving from our first house. The kids suddenly discovered deep attachments to many of the toys that were for sale. So, yea, they can be scarring.
Sometimes I suck at writing. It's my theory that he screamed all night to keep us awake so we'd barely be able to function for the sale.
Heading to South Dakota today to celebrate my oldest niece's graduation from high school.
Coming anywhere near Gettysburg?
I guess I'll take that as a no.
Going here today. Don't hate me because I'm lucky.
Whatever you do, don't read the comments. They make stribbers look like Mother Theresa.
ugh, you warned but I plowed into the comments anyway.
It's like SoCal drivers near an accident. Just have to look.
Ah, the ol' "spectator slowdowns" -- I don't miss those.
I know that this may be a silly question here, but does anyone have experience working on a lathe? I
Wood or metal? I have a very small amount of experience with metal, probably not enough to help, but ask away!
plexiglass.... I'm in the market to buy a small lathe to mill plex for mounts and such at the museum. I have very limited experience with a wood lathe, but I'm a pretty quick study. Any suggestions for brand, and what knives I'd be best served with to start?
That's way past my knowledge. Just be careful you don't overheat it, that's about all I got.
Ah, yeah, I'm not going to be much help there. I haven't dealt with wood lathes since high school.
It's been awhile, but there's a tiny chance I could be of assistance. I do watch a lot of woodworking tv shows too.
So. Many. Ron. Swanson. Videos.
So, Neko Case (with the bad bad words). You, go, musician. (but I still like the gurl singer tag; maybe we need a boy singer to back it up?)
In Cooperstown - olde tymer game got rained out after six 1/2.

The Cincy Reds are on network tv (FOX) and no Billy Hamilton =(
Thom Brennaman brings up Joey Votto getting paid a gazillion dollar and only drove in 70 runs last year and this year is on pace to drive in less.
Gabe Kapler says Votto cant drive in runs when teammates are not in scoring position, then goes on about wRC+
Good God, he's an OBP animal -- give it a rest already, old lawn owners!
No kidding.
in 6 full seasons (tossing out this year and his rookie year playing 24 games), Votto has scored 100+ runs 3 times.
Runs scored is a stat the GOML folks can appreciate, right?
Only if you're not being paid a gazillion dollars.
