  1. The following is NOT directed at HJ:

    O.k. O.k. I get it. Lake Street Dive is one of those bands that due to my socio-economic, demographic, educational.... standing I'm suppose to drool over. Yeah they're good and kind of quirky, the singer is fetching, etc., but you don't have to me hit me with a hammer about it. I like them, they're fun. I'll listen to their other stuff okay? Now let me go back to my obscure GBV demos and alternative takes.

    btw, these guys are coming to First Avenue August 27th. Tix still available (but will probably sell out soon because you know, they did this cool Jackson 5 cover right on the street in Boston).

    1. That probably was overly dickish but man I've been on the receiving end of "Lake Street Dive is awesome you gotta check them out" exhortations from a number of varied sources over the past 3-4 months -- with the effort reaching a fevered pitch over the last month or so.
