Interesting slow-down of this bird's song.
Before this year, I hadn't seen any of these three species. Now I have.
(I also saw the Pacific Wren -- formerly considered a subspecies of the Winter Wren -- whilst in BC.)
Thanks for putting up with me this week, folks!
I couldn't find a live clip of Coil performing either "Red Birds Will Fly out of the East And Destroy Paris in the Night" or "Strange Birds".
RIP Jhonn
RIP Sleazy
Wow. That slowed down wren song is really something. 8 for that.
Search youtube and there are slowed-down House Wren and Bobolink and Grasshopper Sparrow songs too.
I thought maybe Anna's Hummingbird (the only hummer in the US with an actual "song")* could benefit from the same treatment, but a look at the sonograph on xeno-canto.org made me think otherwise.
*Not including this.
slow was cool...but now I need something to shake the buzz.
How about some pizza?

Pizza? Acadian Flycatcher's excited.

We'll need something to drink. What do you think, barkeep Alder Flycatcher?

Free Beer? Excellent. Olive-Sided Flycatcher, you order first.

Quite the impatient one, and apparently, he's pretty thirsty, too.
I assumed he was ordering for me and Acadian Flycatcher as well.
If those were all for him, he's taking advantage of Alder Flycatcher's generosity.
Nah, I'm sure you're right.
