If they still do it with ii behind him, then I'm guessing they'll never stop.
when they enshrine him in the hall.
Too bad Sano couldn't have been in the Home Run Derby!
does it count as a spooky when you see the score is 1-0 in the first, the Twins have one hit, and you know that Sano blasted a home run without checking the box? Maybe that's a meaty.
I was desperately hoping that I'd get to watch his at bat before I had to leave for my appointment because I figured he'd hit a homer.
But I mean I guess I figure that every time he steps to the dish!
With the one last night, I was in the clubhouse after my round, and everyone spec what they were doing and watched the at bat when he came up. There was a real sense that, well, why wouldn't he hit a home run there?
Just off the phone with my mom, and she told me that the restaurant they were in went silent as Sano stepped to the plate. After the home run she said the place erupted as though a world series game had just been won.
I'm starting to think I should have just splurged on that $10 mlb tv deal.
... that's two of us.
Don't count on it, not the way Buxton is hitting. He needs to at least make contact.
With Kepler in the wings, I think FO can concentrate on other aspects of the team, thankfully.

So, Rosario, Buxton, and Hicks it is.
I'll believe that when I see it on a regular basis.
booooooooooooooooooooooo
I get that Sano has an injured hamstring, but Dan Gladden is trying too hard to explain away a little laziness.
On the one hand, this.
On the other hand, I'm just happy that they're not throwing a rookie under the bus.
On the other hand, Dick did say you have to suck it up because of the wild card chase. Uh, no you shouldn't. He should be on the DL if it's serious regardless of when it happens.
Or, since its September and there are players available, just not play unless its an emergency
Gah. I must have missed that.
From all I've read about Sano and his leadership and competitiveness, I would never assume he's being lazy. The guy was told to take it easy on the bases and he's doing just that. As long as it doesn't affect his ability to hit, which it obviously isn't, there's no reason to take him out of the lineup. If he were to ask out because of the hamstring, I'm sure some would be complaining about him being soft.
I guess I didn't mean "lazy" like it's a bad thing. Danny just spent WAY too much time explaining away why he didn't run to first. Like they are really careful to explain anything about which fans might criticize Mauer. Sano doesn't need kid gloves. He clearly can handle it. And who the heck would criticize him right now?
And who the heck would criticize him right now?
The same people that criticized Mauer when he was Hall of Fame great.
That's one of my biggest pet peeves!!!!
Stock talking with some excitement about a Rosario, Buxton, Hicks outfield.
Dick, that is. Stupid autocorrect
Dick Stockton?
This would be a great inning to score a run or 8.
Good start. They better not have Suzuki bunt unless Molitor is planning on pinch hitting for Buxton, which I doubt this early in a game we have a lead.
Too bad Duffman fell apart yesterday, or we might be talking about a long scoreless streak by the rotation.
Escobar is hot lately
Your statement reminded me of a thing I read the other day

Yawn, another home run by Sano.
Ho hum. Another homer by Sano.
He almost cleared the batting eye in centerfield.
Why would your ever throw him that pitch?
why do they pitch to him at all?
I'm wondering when they'll stop.
If they still do it with ii behind him, then I'm guessing they'll never stop.

It looks like College Football Saturday is heating up
By Jon Bois
TWINS BASEBALL!!!!!!!
Dozier looked horrible there.
Ooof, nasty sinker/2seamer/whatever to strike out Mauer.
Although he had a high ball called a strike probably should have had a walk.
Plouffe!
doh
Cory's call...I thought for a moment he had done it.
Filthy stuff again by May.
I think this Jepsen move has proven worthwhile. Sheesh his fastball is good
Winnah!
Gotta say, Jepson pick up was smart.
It looks pretty good now that he's down himself to be a solid bullpen arm on a team that needs one (especially now that Perkins is ailing).
One more win to tie 2014.
