        1. Well, that all depends on your definition of "from"
Despite not having lived there in 27 years, I still consider myself "from" Minnesota 🙂

          And... Touche

  1. A gloomy, drizzly morning with a good cup of coffee and Nina Simone on the stream? I'll take it.

  2. Pursuant to yesterday's units of measure conversation:

My friends (her-Czech, him-Swedish) just had their baby yesterday. He sent me a message saying "Tristan was born at 9:28. 51cm and 3820grams. Mom and baby are well, but tired"

I responded with "Can you put that in American please? 😉 20 in and 8 pounds 6 1/2 ounces."

    1. Actually, baby weight is where I know metric better. From studies I use for work, Under 2500 g is "Low Birth Weight" and under 1500g is "Very Low Birth Weight", and under 1 kg is "Extremely Low Birth Weight"
3500g is considered average (for full-term singletons), and over 4500g is "High Birth Weight". Converting those to imperial measures does not result in nice, round numbers (ascending order):
      2 lb, 3 1/4 oz
      3 lb, 4 7/8 oz
      5 lb, 8 3/16 oz
      7 lb, 11 1/2 oz
      9 lb, 14 3/4 oz

      1. This morning I was listening to a Canadian station when the weather report came on. I'm okay with Celsius, but I'll admit it caught me a little by surprise when he said that someplace was expected to get five centimeters of snow.

  3. The fantasy keepers are finally up on the google docs site (https://goo.gl/t16gXg).

Take a look at your keepers and please get a decision to me as soon as possible. I am thinking the draft will be the 1st or 2nd of April, so if keepers could be selected by the 28th, that would be great.

Also, let me know your preferences for draft days and times, and I'll set something up.

Big Trains from last year have not joined, so my plan is to have Central Ill Koalas take over that teams roster and choose keepers based on that. Big Trains, if you still want to play, let me know ASAP.

If there are any questions, email me at robzk yahoo

    1. Big Trains was mine - sorry for that tragedy Koalas.
I'm now running the legislative office for my agency and have no idea what to expect.

    1. I think spooky has one two, but I say the more the merrier! I've watched only a couple of gopher, bison, and drake's games this year, so I'll probably do the best evah!

        1. I think it was from him but I only got an email about it. Two brackets means twice the disappointment though, and isn't that what its all about? 🙂

          1. I'm not doing any brackets this year. I just want to watch the games without any added anxiety since I ended up in the hospital for another stent when Wisconsin blew its big lead in the championship game last year.

          1. nor I, though I probably used some yahoo e-mail address I haven't checked since the last contest

  5. Trey played his second Majors Little League game last night. He came off the bench and walked in his only plate appearance and scored from second on a two-out single. His Astros won 8-1.

    1. I wouldn't be happy to see him mash against us, but I wouldn't be unhappy to see him play ball gain.

  6. Our county got a shout-out from CNN as being a very important county, and then later as being a more affluent county. Of course on that second count he was comparing to St. Louis City proper, which isn't saying much.

  7. Almost midnight. Sitting, waiting for the Girl to get her checked luggage. First (and last) time to have both kids come home for spring break.

      1. Know what a grad student who can afford to take recreational trips is called? An MBA candidate.

  8. OFFICIAL BRACKET (most of you that are saying you weren't invited were indeed invited, but may not use the same email addresses)
