Sometimes I find old songs or records and they seem really interesting and fresh to my ears considering they are 50 years old. Then I talk to people who were around when they came out and they tell me this band sucks and it is uncool to like this song.
Not sure which was this one goes, but Rodger Daltrey covered this song when he went solo. Doesn't touch the original though. Couldn't find a live version from when this came out so here he is doing it ~10 years ago on some radio station in NH. A pretty cool song/performance if you ask me.
A four?!?! Show yourself!
Do we want honest rankings, or not to rank at all? The song wasn't my cup of tea, the piano sound was cheap, and the falsetto sounded like a parody. But I listened to it, which is why we post these -- keep at it, dude!
I appreciate the assessment. It was a cheap piano sound for sure. No debate there. Thanks for listening!
I wasn't sure about this song at first when I was compiling the Summer Mix, but it definitely grew on me.
It is real weird. It looks like he has hung onto his weirdness in old age which is great.
