I figured out the other three first but when enumerating the remaining words, I figured out the theme on the first word. Certainly easier than realizing SEN is TEN with an S.

Blue would have been a lot easier to get a decade ago before applications started hiding their menus. I wonder what browser because I don't have History or Window. The hamburger menu adds in History but still no Window.
Do you limit your guesses? I have no compunction about trying every word I see. I don't use the hints but I'll check everything. For example, I tried CLOWN and CLOWNISH today before I got the theme and then came back to those letters once I figured it out.
I have in the past but after reading your method about trying everything, I do that when I'm stuck. I think I had enough banked hints to solve the entire puzzle yesterday while today I only had "REGIT" (not a word I was informed). I did notice CHIRP as a possibility first but didn't try it because it didn't fit and then I spotted CHIPMUNK.
I will sometimes notice multiple ways to get a word so I usually avoid those entirely.
That is why I started keeping a list of answers. I still managed to guess an answer (the M version) because I either forget to check or remove words from my list of guesses.
Bacon number didn't occur to me but it is something I've heard of to go with the Erdős number.
I looked up the tokens at the time. For us olds, the penguin doesn't make sense but it's been a token since 2017. Meanwhile the iron was retired in 2013 and the wheelbarrow retired in 2017. Admittedly those playing Strands are more likely to have memory of Monopoly sets produced before 2013 but it did make sense to me after checking the timeline.
I figured Penguin had been introduced recently and I just didn't know about it. But Iron retired?!?!? That was a classic.
