I can't think of a better way to end my week than Van the Man and Tom Jones! With a side order of Jeff Beck. Thanks for putting up with me all week, and thanks to hungry joe for keeping an eye on me.

Ronnie Lane’s Slim Chance – Ohh-La-La
If you're not familiar with it, you should check out the album Ronnie made with Peter Townshend in the late 70's called "Rough Mix". A wonderful little album. Actually, all of Ronnie's post Faces recordings are worth hunting down. He was a vastly underappreciated talent and died way too young.
Rockpile – And So It Goes/Heart of the City
Hey, look another Nick Lowe group! I could do this all week folks.
Toure Kunda – Emma
Just a little classic Senagalese reggae to jump start your morning.
Little Village – She Runs Hot/Don’t Bug Me When I’m Working
Once upon a time a couple of my favorite musicians, Nick Lowe & John Hiatt, formed a group along with Ry Cooder and Jim Keltner. The group was never as good as the sum of its parts, but was a lot of fun for one album and tour.
Billie Joe & Norah – Roving Gambler
A few years ago Billie Joe Armstrong teamed up with Norah Jones for an album of Everly Brothers tunes called "Foreverly".
Me and Magdalena – Mickey Dolenz and Michael Nesmith
This was from The Monkees 2016 reunion, the song was written by Ben Gibbard of Death Cab for Cutie. BTW for anyone on the West Coast, Michael Nesmith is reforming The First National Band and doing a mini-tour
Van Morrison and the Chieftains – Star of the County Down
Erin go bragh, laddies!
Happy St. Patrick's Day! (or as they say in Omerha, "Hey, the beer tent opens at 6 am!")

Steve Forbert – Goin’ Down To Laurel
I still love Stevie's debut album.
It mad a big impression on this teenager back in '78.

What kind of guy is he...
Toots Hibbert – Country Roads
Yes, that Country Roads

Toots is one of the few artists I can think of that can even make John Henry Deutschenforf sound funky.
And he can sound a lot like Otis...
