Meshuggah are the king of riffs, I enjoyed this translation. He tried so hard not to headbang throughout, but we get a couple at the end.
Original - (is this the best djent riff? or just the best riff?)

As Dream Theater is to my past, Periphery is to my present. Misha "Bulb" Mansoor gained a reputation for the music he posted online and then later filled in the rest of the band later with extremely talented musicians (including John Petrucci's nephew Jake Bowen). They've pretty much become the definition of "djent."

Meshuggah are the godfathers of djent and an influence on basically every modern metal band. The drums here are double bass throughout--sixteenth notes interspersed with thirty-second notes.
