Kelly Dransfeldt was drafted by Minnesota in the seventh round in 1993, but did not sign.

Baltimore trades Luis Ayala to Atlanta for Chris Jones. Ayala was assigned to AA Mississippi, then was activated by Atlanta.

Baltimore sends Rob Delaney from AAA Norfolk at A Frederick, then brings him back to AAA Norfolk.

Baltimore sends Allan de San Miguel from Class A Frederick to short-season Aberdeen.

Baltimore claims Alex Burnett off waivers from Toronto and options him to AAA Norfolk.

Boston sends David Ortiz to Pawtucket on a rehab assignment.

Cincinnati assigns Ray Chang to AAA Louisville.

Dodgers sign Sean Burroughs to a minor league contract.

Mets transfer Johan Santana from the fifteen-day disabled list to the sixty-day disabled list.

Mets sign Sean Henn to a minor league contract.

Pittsburgh promotes Kyle Waldrop from short-season Jamestown to AAA Louisville.

Toronto designates Alex Burnett for assignment.

Toronto assigns Bobby Korecky to AAA Buffalo, then places him on the seven-day disabled list.

Robert Nederlander is a part-owner of the New York Yankees, and was managing partner in from 1990-1991, when George Steinbrenner was suspended.
