Dumpstaphunk covered Parliament all night, then two other bands (I want to say Rebirth was one of them) covered James Brown and Michael Jackson. Sheenie and I left at 3:00am and one of the bands still hadn't even taken the stage. I guess that's New Orleans for you. At one point, I walked to the bar and bumped into John Mayer taking it all in.

She went on at like 6:30 in the morning on Thursday before The Hold Steady. My friend and I agreed Nicole was our favorite artist of the morning.
"Girl You Look Amazing" starts around 7:15, which she played on Thursday and was in my head most of the rest of the day.

Okay, back to music videos 🙂
A few years ago I participated in a Battle of the Bands featuring mostly bands that never hit the Billboard 200. This was by far the best song to come out of that contest. Yes, it's in Norwegian, and I can't understand it, but by golly, I couldn't get enough of it. With a fair number of us from Minnesota, and maybe a few Norweigans in the bunch, maybe someone else will connect with it like I did.

So apparently, I didn't realize they were supposed to be live videos. Oh well, I like going against the norm 🙂 But here's a live video that I planned to share anyway. When I first listened to the song, I didn't think it was too spectacular. Then I saw the video and was really amazed at how he does this song. Check it out!

For my next video, I present a band that always has interesting videos. Back in 1996, I had heard Sober, but this song/video put me firmly in the camp of the Tool fan. Of course, MTV called this "Track #1".
