Indianapolis 8, Rochester 3 in Rochester.  The Indians score four in the first and that was all they needed.  Trevor Plouffe had three hits and Toby Gardenhire had two.  All nine Red Wings hits were singles.  Ryan Mullins surrendered six runs on eleven hits and two walks in only four innings.  Dusty Hughes and Kyle Waldrop each pitched two shutout innings of relief.

New Britain 5, Reading 3 in Reading.  The Rock Cats scored three in the first, but lost that lead and needed single runs in the seventh and eighth to put the game away.  Chris Parmelee singled and homered.  Yangervis Solarte had two hits to raise his average to .322.  Steve Hirschfeld allowed three runs on seven hits in 5.2 innings.  He struck out seven and walked none.  Michael Tarsi got the win with 1.1 innings of scoreless relief.  Bruce Pugh pitched two shutout innings to get the save.

Beloit 5, Burlington 1 in Burlington.  The Snappers scored two in the eighth to put the game away.  Daniel Santana had three hits.  Nate Roberts singled and tripled.  Danny Ortiz and Jairo Perez each had two hits, with Perez raising his average to .357.  Manuel Soliman got the win, giving up a run on four hits and three walks in six innings.  Three relief pitchers each pitched a shutout inning of relief to finish the game.
