Another day, another injury.
I didn't get to see much of this one since I was going to an Inland Empire Sixty-Sixers game to get a replica San Bernardino Spirit Griffey jersey. I didn't miss much. For some reason, I didn't like Liriano matching up against the Brewers, but I wasn't expecting this. Add to that Delmon's injury and it's getting awfully hard to be hopeful about this season. Delmon wasn't having a good season on the whole, but he's been hitting better of late. Now it sounds like he's going to be out for awhile. Twins called it just a sprain, but when a guy gets carted off the field, that usually is more than a couple weeks for recovery. I wouldn't be surprised if Morneau returns to the field before Delmon does.
Well that sucked. We ended up leaving after Fielder's home run, largely due to the score and largely due to the vocally incompetent Brewer's fan base. They booed Joe Mauer for reasons I can't comprehend.

Those were jealous boos.
Perhaps they think Shecky Souhan is a credible columnist?
Alright, I had to read the Strib comments on elmn's injury; I couldn't help myself. And what is the main topic of discussion? How this team stinks since Mauer has come back. Yep.
Live in Milwaukee and used to enjoy coming to games to watch the Twins kick Brewer ass. Lost all 3 here last year and now 2 in a row this year. Getting sick of it.
Also Miller Park sucks. Even with the roof open, it's indoor baseball.
And with the roof closed it's a fetid swamp. I'd bet decent money, though, that the Brewers don't rebuild as soon as they possibly can.

This is what I felt watching on TV, and it's part of why I'm glad there was no state money for a roof for Targuay Field.
Aesthetics are important, and I haven't seen one domed ballpark that has any.
I agree with you. I was at the middle game last year, which sucked. I have made it a point to not go to any non-Twins games at Miller Park from now on. I'll stick with the Mallards or Snappers.
I've never been to Miller Park, but on TV it looks like a big Costco.
does it have free samples? If not, I'll stick with Costco.
