Work's been crazy busy for me this past week, and I'm going away for the weekend. I hope to catch up with y'all sometime.

Nice vid, dw. It blew me away when I found out that Phoenix were French.
Great list and nice clip! I'm looking forward to their next album...whenever it shows up.
I could rock out to Sugarfoot for hours. Black Joe Lewis was incredibly fun live.

5. The Collaboration that spawned Sub-Pop's best-ever selling album, Give Up by the Postal Service. I believe the previous best seller was some punk album called Bleach. For all I know, Give Up has since been passed.
6. One of those few songs where the first half is instrumental, and the second half is basically the same thing but with vocals (see also: Sonic Youth, "Pink Steam"). I love that. This is one of Underworld's best songs, IMO.
T. Drastic and enjoyable remix of Lady Gaga's "Paparazzi". The song is just a faint smeared echo in an ambient piece. From Minneapolis's own Elite Gymnastics.
It's November, so that means my annual album acquiring freeze is in effect whilst I attempt to listen to every album I acquired in 2011 before the end of 2011 (80 albums in 8 weeks, starting last week). Today we've got Michael Gordon's Timber and Wye Oak's Civilian.

New Heartless Bastards out next February! Excited.
Thanks for the head's up.
who are The Books? that sounds like an interesting band
Interesting is the right word. They are two guys, one is a cellist, the other does a whole bunch of other instruments (guitar, electronics, percussion).
They use a lot of samples and create very arty, very intricate songs. It's unlike anything else on my iPod.
I like Thought For Food most of the albums I've heard.
