Rochester overcomes a poor start by Nick Blackburn. Miguel Sano hits his thirteenth. After the teams combine for six home runs, Jonathan Goncalves hits a little league homer to give Beloit the victory.
ROCHESTER 7, CHARLOTTE 4 IN CHARLOTTE
Batting stars: Michael Hollimon was 2-for-4 with two home runs, giving him four on the season. Chris Parmelee was 2-for-3 with a walk, a double, and a home run, his second.
Pitching stars: Esmerling Vasquez worked three shutout innings, giving up three hits and a walk. Casey Fien retired all five batters he faced.
Opposition stars: Greg Golson was 2-for-5 with two doubles. Tyler Kuhn was 2-for-4 with a double. Jhan Marinez pitched two shutout innings, allowing two walks.
Key inning: The fifth. The Red Wings had come back to take a 5-3 lead in the fourth, only to see the Knights get a run back. With two out in the fifth, Parmelee hit a two run homer to give Rochester a 7-4 lead.
Other: Nick Blackburn struggled in his first rehab start, surrendering four runs on four hits and three walks in 3.2 innings.
NEW BRITAIN AT NEW HAMPSHIRE

BRADENTON 5, FORT MYERS 4 IN BRADENTON
Batting stars: Jairo Perez was 3-for-5. Michael Gonzales was 2-for-4 with a double. Levi Michael hit a two run homer, his second.
Pitching stars: Jose Gonzalez, Dakota Watts, and Kyle Waldrop each pitched a scoreless inning.
Opposition stars: Drew Maggi was 2-for-3 with a double and a walk. Gerrit Cole allowed two runs (one earned) on six hits and two walks in six innings. Casey Sadler threw two shutout innings.
Key inning: The fourth. Trailing 1-0, the Miracle scored once to tie the game, but stranded runners on first and third. The Marauders bounced back with a three run bottom of the inning. The big blow was a two out, two run double by Carlos Paulino.
Other: This has been mentioned before, but the leadoff batter for Bradenton is Gift Ngoepe. The second place hitter is Drew Maggi.
BELOIT 5, KANE COUNTY 4 IN KANE COUNTY (11 INNINGS)
Batting stars: Jonathan Goncalves was 2-for-4 with two doubles. Drew Leachman was 2-for-4. Nate Roberts hit a two run homer, his first.
Pitching stars: Tyler Jones gave up a run on four hits and a walk while striking out five in four innings. Tim Atherton struck out four in three shutout innings, allowing just two walks. David Hurlbut pitched two shutout innings, striking out two while giving up a hit and a walk.
Opposition stars: Lane Adams was 2-for-5 with a home run. Jorge Bonifacio was 2-for-6 with a home run. Matt Ridings gave up one run on four hits in five innings, walking none and striking out five.
Key inning: The eleventh. The Snappers had taken an early 4-1 lead, only to have the Cougars tie the game up late. Goncalves led off the inning with a pop-fly double and circled the bases when first baseman Murray Watts threw the ball away. It was one of three Kane County errors.
Other: Each team hit three home runs. For Beloit, it was Roberts, Miguel Sano, and Eddie Rosario and for the Cougars it was Adams, Bonifacio, and Daniel Mateo. All were solo shots except for the one hit by Roberts...Sano has homered in consecutive games, but they’re the only hits he has in those games (2-for-12)…The Snappers opened the game with a triple by Wang-wei Lin and homers by Roberts and Rosario, taking a 3-0 lead before anyone was retired.
