I'll put more effort into these when I don't have to go to a sweltering common room just to get online.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Wow. Two close plays at second already.
Asdrubal Cabrera sucks at tagging out runners.
Alexi Casilla does not suck at tagging out a runner.
ready, aim, WILLINGHAM
The second base ump must be wondering what happened to his nice, relaxing day.
LOL @ the Indians and 2nd base.
If we got one in the first, it logically follows that we should get two in the second, right?
Gordo would've been proud of Cory's call on that one.
Great. Another ump with rabbit ears.
gotta love the 100-foot double
Shortest double I've ever seen.
that had to hurt.
I think the Twins should intentionally walk the first batter of every inning, just so they can turn a double play.
Again, I know hitting the ball up the middle is supposed to be a good thing, but the Twins seem to hit an incredible number of balls either right back to or off of the pitcher.
What he said, again.
There's another one, but this one got us a run!
But we would have had two if it didn't hit the pitcher.
Twins trying new (or maybe really old) ways to take out the starting pitcher.
Why won't you die, Masterson?
"What does not kill me, makes me stronger."
The Twins are dooooomed.
What about having your biceps surgically removed? That wouldn't kill you and it certainly wouldn't make you stronger. Maybe we should remove his biceps.
Dozier not having a good series.
even less damaging than a solo HR allowed!!!
that bunt will get Dozier a week's worth more games.
Dick not as excited as I would have expected with consecutive bunts for hits.
Dazzle was upset that Plouffe was trying to bunt the pitch before. He didn't have much to say after he bunted for a hit.
Coomer on the other hand....
Odds that Lexi bunts here?
BUNTASAURUS!!!
Buntapalooza!
How often do you see a guy commit a meaningless error, then the next inning....
3-0! Pretty soon, they're going to be saying, "Break up the Twins!"
Laddie delivers!
Span should bunt
Everyone should bunt. This Indians infield is playing lazy.
Put me in, coach! I'll bunt the sh!t out of the ball!
error on Dozier? That must mean he is batting in the next half-inning. Sweet!
DoziERR
If I was going to go to games in Cleveland, I think I'd do something to make sure I wasn't sitting near the guy with the bass drum.
Or sit two seats behind him and bring a vuvuzela.
Jim Hughes was the answer to the tv trivia question. Looking at his b-r page, looks like he may have gotten injured and cut his career. He has that good rookie season (249 IP, 130 k's!!!), started another 26 in 1976, 2 games in '77 and thats it.
Cal-Dartmouth ruggers on the telly. Cal just scored with no time on the clock to end the first half.
Mauer suh-hucks.
I lost the radio feed. Is that everywhere, or just on my station?
Whatever, it's back now.
studio lost the feed, switched to the backup feed. so said Atteberry.
thats frustrating.
Indians are chipping away at the lattice structure.
That's only the end of the 5th? I could have sworn we were going into the 8th at least.
only 90 minutes in....
I think it's just because it started so late--and that I'm so hungry.
First and third with one out? Good thing Mauer's not up.
I assume Dozier had to try to score there or else it would've been a double play.
I assume "contact play".
Crax.
Go hold 'em, guys. We'll get 'em next inning!
that potential rally fizzled quickly.
"As good as Dozier's baserunning was on the previous play, his baserunning on that play was just as bad as the previous goodness on that play."
--Tim McCarver (probably)
If I hear that in McCarver's voice, it sounds exactly like something he'd say.
If he's at home doing commentary on his own, I'm sure that's exactly what he said.
The dive into first finally works in the Twins' favor!
I think he would have been out either way. In any case, it's retribution for all those years of Punto.
Most people younger than me who are listening to Dazzle are now asking, "Who's Warren Spahn?"
Denard Spahn's father?
Spahn and Sain and Pray for Rain.
Another good outing for Diamond (so far).
ooooh, Duncan said a couple of naughty words the mics picked up after that strikeout.
Maybe we should just have everybody bunt!
Buntasm.
Bunt Bunt Bunt Bunt!
bunting!
No pussy walks Mauer. Bunt!
Albatross contract.
That strikeout cost 3520 zillion dollars.
Despite what Dazzle said, I saw a stat recently (can't remember where--might've been Seth) that said Mauer only sees a first-pitch strike about fifty percent of the time.
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Big insurance run!
Pig Candy!
The ham is willing to smack it down the line.
pulled pork!
I think that's worth a point.
Are you saying he "smoked" that one?
if you looked closely, you could see the hickory vaper trail
Hot corner hitting.
We'll take it!
umm, it's "IBUs" not "BUs", Summit guys.
Another unearned run.
What the hell, how'd this get here? Clearly, since you posted at 4:20, the server was high.
I don't know what you're referencing, but it tosses more fuel on my "disinterested in purchasing Summit" stance.
radio advert talking about "BUs" in Summit beer.
To be fair, maybe they have their own scale that has not gone international yet?
graduated in "Mauers"??
5-2 just sounds so much better than 3-2.
Apparently that infield's so messed up nobody can play it.
some high school defense today.
On the plus side, that sets up a double play!
I said it yesterday, Lou Marson loves to hit against the Twins.
Nothing hurt. Still a two run lead. Get this guy and we'll be fine.
looks like Diamonds' ERA will go down because the 3 runs on the boards are all unearned.
This is Diamond's sixth start, and while they haven't all been great, none of them has been bad. On this team, that makes him the staff ace.
He's like Scott Baker, but keeping the ball down!!!111one111!!!!
So should we call him "Subway", then?
and when he gets hammered, we use this:
That would be if he threw a meatball. If he gets hammered, then it would be this:
Pitch Fresh!
Another Twins run or two would be acceptable.
Plouffe power!
Major league baseball.
Plouffeda!
Errors for you, errors for me, bunt, bunt bunt, yeah, bunting is free!
I like three run leads.
I agree, though I prefer when there's three of them at the same time.
And I like 3 of those at the same time.
What? Mastroianni was going to bat for Mauer? What's up with that?
Ugh, that can't be good.
ugh. right thumb strain.
just another easy out.
The people I talked to have never heard of a thumb strain.
Tommy John scheduled for next week.
It's right up there with a broken leg and decapitation in terms of madeupness.
bilateral thumb weakness
What's next, a pinky contusion?
the Twins have 29 hits so far this series. 6 have been for extra bases (4 doubles, 2 HR)
almost all keyed by bunts.
Hey, don't forget Dozier's bunt double!
He swung on that one. High chopper.
a couple of runs here would make me feel much more comfortable.
Mauer could have done that...
No problem, Matty. Get a double play here!
If Capps were willing to start throwing at people's heads, we could start calling him "Decappitator". That would be awesome. Well, except for all the lives he'd ruin.
There we go!
Leathah!
Hey, how 'bout that!
Sweet.
Great Lakes beer for everyone!
and thats another winning series
That'll do!
win number 20 on the year. still 13 games back from an even record. yeesh.
We'll get there. We're still on track to go 129-33!
A winning record in June! This is the first time this season the Twins have had a winning record in their current month. This is the latest the Twins have had a winning record in a month since they ended July 2011 with a winning record. They started out September 1-0, but that was it. Twins are 10-7 in their last 17 games.

I have zero recollection of Jim Hughes.
He spent a lot of time in the minors.
