What I really like about Pavement is that the stuff they recorded but not on their main albums is super strong and not goofy knock-offs. If you really want to get into Pavement find the extended versions of Slanted and Enchanted, Zowie Wowie, and Crooked Rain Crooked Rain. The stuff at the back end of those albums is awesome.
