TwinsOswaldo Arcia (Aragua) was 1-for-4 with a two-run homer and struck out twice.  David Bromberg (Aragua) pitched 5.1 innings, giving up two runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out four.

Game summary:  Oscar Salazar’s RBI single drove in the winning run in the ninth.

La Guaira:  Les Walrond gave up one run in five innings.  Alex Castellanos (Dodgers) was 3-for-4 with a double and a home run, driving in two.

Aragua:  Jae-Hoon Ha (Cubs) was 3-for-4 with a double and drove in one.  Luis Maza was 3-for-5.

ZULIA 8, MARGARITA 3 IN ZULIA

TwinsSean Burroughs (Margarita) was 2-for-5 with two home runs, driving in three.  Aaron Hicks (Margarita) was 0-for-2 with three walks.

Game summary:  A five-run rally in the eighth broke a 3-3 tie for Zulia.

Margarita:  Wilmer Flores (Mets) was 2-for-4 with a double and scored once.  Max Ramirez (Kansas City) was 2-for-4.

Zulia:  Wilfredo Boscan (Texas) struck out four in 4.2 shutout innings.  Felix Perez (Cincinnati) was 4-for-4 with two doubles and scored twice.

CARACAS 2, LARA 1 IN LARA

Game summary:  Doubles by Carlos Rivero (Washington) and Ronald Bermudez (Boston) produced the winning run in the ninth.

Caracas:  Jesus Sucre (Seattle) was 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI.  Rivero was 2-for-4.

Lara:  Ryan Feierabend pitched six innings, giving up one run on five hits and no walks.  Jairo Perez was 2-for-3.

ANZOATEGUI 3, MAGALLANES 1 IN ANZOATEGUI

Game summary:  Anzoategui scored two in the sixth to take a 2-1 lead.

Magallanes:  Erold Andrus was 2-for-4 and scored once.  Eliezer Alfonzo was 2-for-4.

Anzoategui:  Gorkys Hernandez (Miami) was 2-for-2 with a walk and a double, scoring once.  Gustavo Molina (Yankees) was 2-for-3 with a home run.
