TwinsJaDamion Williams (Syndey) was 0-for-4.  Jacob Younis (Sydney) was 0-for-2 but drove in the winning run.

Game summary:  With the score tied, the bases loaded, and two out in the sixth, Younis was hit by a pitch to drive in what would turn out to be the winning run.

Sydney:  Vaughan Harris gave up one run on five hits and a walk in 5.2 innings.  Zachary Penprase was 2-for-4 with a triple and scored once.

Canberra:  Robert Dickmann allowed one run on five hits in five innings.  Jeremy Barnes was 1-for-2 with a walk and scored.

CANBERRA 2, SYDNEY 1 IN CANBERRA (GAME 2)

TwinsJaDamion Williams (Sydney) was 0-for-4.

Game summary:  K. C. Hobson (Toronto) homered in the seventh to break a 1-1 tie.

Sydney:  Craig Anderson struck out six in seven innings, giving up two runs on three hits and a walk.  Shane Benson was 2-for-4 with an RBI.

Canberra:  Chris Motta allowed one run on three hits and two walks in six innings.  Hobson was 2-for-3.

PERTH 8, ADELAIDE 4 IN ADELAIDE

Game summary:  Leading 5-4, Perth scored three in the ninth to take control.

Perth:  Luke Hughes (Toronto) was 2-for-4 with a home run, driving in four.  Corey Adamson (San Diego) was 2-for-3 with a double and a walk, scoring twice.

Adelaide:  Josh Cakebread was 2-for-5 and scored once.  Dylan Child (Pittsburgh) hit a two-run homer.
