I helped an obvious high roller yesterday buy a TV and a whole room setup. He was so pleased by the experience with me that he gave me his business card - he's one of the owners of a resort in Puerto Penasco (Rocky Point) in Mexico - and offered to give me and my wife a few free nights there. Legally, I can't take it. In actuality, I have to take it.

this kid is something for sure.
Those steals were both awesome. The catcher was near-perfect on the first one!
on the throw-back? that is just...wow.
To a right-handed pitcher, even. Sheesh, he is fast.
the legend of Billy Hamilton continues to grow.
I hope he doesn't hit a wall in the minors where he can't get on base, because I want to see him break some records.
He had a .410 OBP across A+ and AA this year, which has to be terrifying for the other team.
Good Lord.
Sliding Billy Hamilton II.
Doogie with a nice scoop
there's this too.
Shields would be great, but he's kinda expensive. No thanks on Webb.
until the Twins actually make a trade for a halfway big name (when was the last one...Delmon Young?), I'll put more faith in free agency rumors than trade rumors.
Gomez for Hardy count as a halfway-big trade? Maybe a decent-sized trade?
decent sized sounds right
Capps was more than halfway big, I would say. Oh wait, you're talking about ... nevermind.
I would kick the tires on Webb. It's not like the Twins are looking for just one pitcher.
If it's a minor-league signing, I'm cool.
If he's guaranteed a spot in the rotation, I'm not.
Please please correct the wording so we don't end up paying for another Zumaya-esque "season" of work.
mike tice looks great with hipster glasses.
Twin Cities EPL alert: My29 is showing Liverpool-Newcastle right now
Same here. And my NBC is showing Sporting KC-Houston Dynamo in the MLS Playoffs at 3:30/2:30 Central
having EPL and MLS on broadcast is good. Having them compete with one another is less good.
There was hardly any overlap in actual gameplay. When Liverpool-Newcastle match got over, I flipped to the SKC-HOU match and was right on time for the first half. I missed maybe 5 minutes.
I don't really like Houston, but with SKC employing Roger Espinoza and beating the Sounders in the USOC Final this year, I didn't mind seeing them go down 2-0. To SKC's credit, they didn't pack it in all game.
the Vikings have passed for about 110 net yards the last 2 games. yeesh
That's maybe half a quarter in the Big XII.
Or certain parts of the Pac12. USC and Oregon combined for 841 yards Saturday. In the first half.
I would probably get behind Oregon 100% , but their uniforms blind my eyes
Defense is the new market inefficiency.
The clock change is messing with me. I want to go to bed, but it's only 9:15.
I'm with Kenyon Martin: pissed that I can't get an NBA job.
