I am heading out to the Fatherland tonight, home of heavy scales and no Lifetime Fitness gyms. Normally, I leave in the morning, but I will be going up tonight because my Dad is flying to California in the morning and I'll be taking him up to the airport before going to work. My brother has been out there for that last six or seven months, working to supply brianS with electricity so that he can contribute smart aleck comments to this site. Or something. (Actually, not that far from the truth. He builds wind towers and has been building them in that area.)
I went to the gym last night, but that trip was cut short by a call to take my daughter out with her friend to a Guy Fawkes Night. Poor old Guy was burned in effigy for about the 400th year in a row. It was pretty festive and I got to spend some time with my daughter's friend's Dad, who is a good guy in his own right. It was a fun time and I added a few photos on the book of face. He and I talked fitness as I hadn't seen him since the opening ceremonies of the London Olympics (his wife is English, so they like English things like Guy Fawkes and the London Olympics). He also travels a lot for work, so it's hard for us to get together.
Anyhow, I'm feeling good and am generally happy with the last six days. I didn't get the usual workouts in, but I did what I could, I navigated company and good eats last night. My last weigh-in here was a successful one.
Day 105
Weight: 232.0
Total Lost: 52.5
Percentage of Body Weight Lost: 18.45
Self-pimpage time: I started a Twitter and a Tumblr specific to my bobsledding aspirations.
You've got mail (unless I sent it to the wrong account, in which case someone is going to be really confused as to what I am talking about).
I exercised my right to vote this morning. I need a donut.
