Dakota Watts continues to pitch quite well.

ARAGUA 5, ANZOATEGUI 1 IN ANZOATEGUI

TwinsOswaldo Arcia (Aragua) was 1-for-5 and scored once.  Eduardo Escobar (Anzoategui) was 0-for-3.  Dakota Watts (Aragua) retired all seven batters he faced, two by strikeout.  Bruce Pugh (Anzoategui) pitched one-third of an inning, allowing a hit and a walk but no runs.

Game summary:  Leading 2-1, Aragua scored three times in the eighth to take control.  Jose Martinez hit a two-run homer in the inning.

Aragua:  Seth Etherton allowed one run on five hits and no walks in six innings.  Ramon Castro was 3-for-3 with a home run.

Anzoategui:  Yadel Marti gave up two runs on six hits and a walk in six innings.  Alexi Amarista (San Diego) was 2-for-4 with a double.

MAGALLANES 5, MARGARITA 4 IN MAGALLANES

TwinsSean Burroughs (Margarita) was 1-for-3 with a double and two walks, driving in one.  Deolis Guerra (Magallanes) struck out two and allowed one hit in a scoreless inning.

Game summary:  Trailing 4-3, Magallanes scored two in the ninth to take the win.  Carlos Maldonado delivered an RBI single for the game-winner.

Margarita:  Jonathan Herrera (Colorado) was 3-for-4 with two doubles and scored once.  Edgar Duran (Philadelphia) was 2-for-4 and drove in three.

Magallanes:  Jose Altuve (Houston) was 2-for-3 with two walks and scored twice.  Gabriel Alfaro worked two hitless innings, walking two.

LA GUAIRA 6, ZULIA 3 IN LA GUAIRA

Game summary:  Trailing 3-0, La Guaira scored four in the sixth and two in the seventh.  A grand slam by Alex Cabrera put La Guaira in the lead.

Zulia:  Justin Henry (Detroit) was 2-for-4 with a triple and scored once.  Jose Flores was 2-for-3 with a double.

La Guaira:  Cesar Suarez was 4-for-4 with a double, scoring twice and driving in one.  Cabrera was 3-for-4.

CARACAS 13, LARA 4 IN LARA

Game summary:  Caracas scored two in the third to take a 5-3 lead and seven in the fourth to put the game away.

Caracas:  Brandon Barnes (Houston) was 3-for-4 with a triple and a home run, scoring twice and driving in four.  Ronald Bermudez (Boston) was 2-for-4 with a double, scoring once and driving in two.

Lara:  Joe Thurston was 2-for-4 with a double and scored twice.  Jose Lopez was 2-for-4 with two RBIs.
