CAGUAS 4, MAYAGUEZ 2 IN CAGUAS

TwinsKennys Vargas (Mayaguez) was 0-for-3 with a walk.  Eddie Rosario (Mayaguez) was 1-for-4.  Daniel Ortiz (Mayaguez) was used as a reserve and was 0-for-1 with a walk.

Game summary:  Caguas scored three runs in the second to take a 3-0 lead.  Mayaguez cut it to 3-2 in the third, but Caguas got an insurance run in the sixth.

Mayaguez:  Irving Falu (Kansas City) was 2-for-5 with two doubles and scored once.  Freddie Cabrera (Dodgers) threw 2.1 scoreless innings, giving up a hit and a walk.

Caguas:  Jorge Padilla was 1-for-3 with a homer and a walk, driving in two.  Jose De La Torre retired all five men he faced, striking out three.

PONCE 7, MANATI 3 IN MANATI

Game summary:  Ponce took a 4-0 lead after two innings.  Manati got no closer than 4-2.

Ponce:  Brandon Snyder (Texas) was 3-for-3 with two walks, two doubles, and a home run, driving in four.  Zach Walters (Washington) was 2-for-5 with a double, scoring twice and driving in one.

Manati:  Juan Centeno (Mets) was 2-for-4 with a two-run homer.  Tony Butler worked 2.1 scoreless innings, allowing only a walk.
