MAZATLAN 4, GUASAVE 2 IN GUASAVE

TwinsChris Colabello (Guasave) was 1-for-4.  Anthony Slama (Mazatlan) pitched 1.1 scoreless innings despite allowing two hits and a walk.

Game summary:  Mazatlan scored three in the fourth to take a 4-0 lead.

Mazatlan:  Jesse Castillo was 2-for-4 with a double and a home run.  Heber Gomez was 2-for-3 with a home run and a walk.

Guasave:  Daniel Guerrero struck out three in 3.1 scoreless innings, giving up a hit and two walks.  Jose Rodriguez was 2-for-4 with an RBI.

NAVOJOA 3, CULIACAN 2 IN NAVOJOA

TwinsGonzalo Sanudo (Navojoa) retired all seven men he faced, two by strikeout.

Game summary:  Abel Martinez hit a pinch-hit two-run double in the seventh, turning a 2-1 deficit into a 3-2 lead for Navojoa.

Culiacan:  Alejandro Armenta allowed two runs on three hits and two walks while striking out six in 6.1 innings.  Cory Aldridge was 2-for-4 and scored twice.

Navojoa:  Francisco Arias was 2-for-2 and scored once.  Javier Martinez struck out six in six innings, giving up two runs on five hits and three walks.

LOS MOCHIS 9, HERMOSILLO 0 IN HERMOSILLO

Game summary:  Los Mochis scored four in the fourth to break a scoreless tie.

Los Mochis:  Pedro Luis Lazo struck out five in seven innings, allowing three hits and a walk.  Jermaine Curtis (St. Louis) was 2-for-5 with a three-run homer.

Hermosillo:  Jose Garcia struck out two in a scoreless inning.

OBREGON 11, MEXICALI 3 IN MEXICALI

Game summary:  A Carlos Valencia grand slam put Obregon ahead 4-0 in the first and they were never challenged.

Obregon:  Bobby Cramer gave up one run on one hit and three walks in six innings.  Alfredo Amezaga was 3-for-4 with a double, a triple, and a walk, scoring twice and driving in two.

Mexicali:  Isauro Pineda struck out three in two shutout innings.  Christhian Presichi hit a two-run homer.
