MAYAGUEZ 7, SANTURCE 0 IN MAYAGUEZ (SCHEDULED 7 INNINGS)

TwinsEddie Rosario (Mayaguez) was 0-for-3.  Daniel Ortiz (Mayaguez) was 0-for-3.

Game summary:  Mayaguez scored one in the third, three in the fourth, and three in the fifth.

Santurce:  Bryan Escanio pitched 1.2 scoreless innings despite allowing two hits and three walks. Felipe Lopez was 1-for-2 with a walk.

Mayaguez:  Ryan Dennick (Kansas City) allowed two hits and two walks in five innings.  Adonis Garcia (Yankees) was 3-for-3 with a double, scoring twice and driving in one.

MANATI 4, PONCE 3 IN PONCE (SCHEDULED 7 INNINGS)

TwinsAngel Morales (Ponce) was 0-for-3.

Game summary:  Ponce scored three in the first, but Manati tied it with three in the fifth and won with one in the seventh.  Ponce got a one-out double in the bottom of the seventh but did not advance him past second.

Manati:  Christian Vazquez (Boston) was 2-for-3 with a double and a run.  Ivan De Jesus (Boston) was 2-for-3 with two RBIs.

Ponce:  Zach Walters (Washington) was 2-for-4 with two doubles and a run.  Nicolas Ortiz was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI.

CAGUAS 5, CAROLINA 4 IN CAGUAS

Game summary:  Caguas led all the way.  Carolina cut the lead to 5-4 in the eighth with the tying run in scoring position.

Carolina:  Kyle Blanks (San Diego) was 2-for-5 with a double and scored once.  Jesus Feliciano was 2-for-4 with a walk and an RBI.

Caguas:  Andy Gonzalez was 2-for-4 with a run and an RBI.  Luis Mateo (St. Louis) was 1-for-3 with a walk, scoring once and driving in two.
