Game summary:  Culiacan scored five in the second and led 9-2 after four.

Guasave:  Zelous Wheeler (Baltimore) was 4-for-4 with a home run and a walk, scoring twice and driving in four.  Eduardo Arredondo was 2-for-5 with a home run.

Culiacan:  Marlon Byrd was 3-for-5 with two doubles and a home run and scored three times.  John Lindsey was 3-for-3 with a grand slam and two walks, scoring twice.

OBREGON 8, LOS MOCHIS 5 IN OBREGON

Game summary:  Obregon scored seven runs in innings three through five and led 8-1 after eight.

Los Mochis:  Sandy Madera was 2-for-4 with a three-run homer and a walk.  Sergio Perez was 2-for-4 with an RBI.

Obregon:  David Reyes struck out seven in six innings, allowing one run on five hits and three walks.  Carlos Valencia was 3-for-4 with two two-run homers.

Game summary:  Navojoa trailed 5-4 after four but scored two runs in each of the fifth, sixth, and eighth.

Hermosillo:  Humberto Cota was 2-for-4 with a double, a walk, and three RBIs.  Karim Garcia was 2-for-5 with a triple and scored twice.

Navojoa:  Sergio Lizzaraga struck out four in three shutout innings, allowing three hits and two walks.  Wes Bankston was 2-for-4 with two home runs and three RBIs.

Game summary:  It was tied at four after six.  Oswaldo Morejon delivered the game-winning RBI single.
