MAYAGUEZ 4, CAROLINA 3 IN MAYAGUEZ
Twins: Angel Morales (Carolina) was 1-for-4. Daniel Ortiz (Mayaguez) was 1-for-3 with a walk and scored once. Eddie Rosario (Mayaguez) was 3-for-4 with a double, scoring once and driving in one. Nelvin Fuentes (Mayaguez) pitched two-thirds of an inning scorelessly, giving up two walks and striking out two.
Game summary: Mayaguez scored the go-ahead run in the sixth on a Danny Gonzalez RBI single. Carolina loaded the bases in the seventh but did not get a man past first after that.
Carolina: Ben Lasater (Miami) was 3-for-4 with an RBI. Justin Bour (Cubs) was 2-for-3 with a double and two walks, scoring once and driving in one.
Mayaguez: Angelo Gumbs (Yankees) was 2-for-4 with a double. Gonzalez was 2-for-3.

Game summary: Wilberto Ortiz delivered a bases loaded single in the seventh to break a 1-1 tie and drive in the winning run.
