December 17, 2012: Tis the Season?

I just can't get into the holiday spirit without a snowflake to be seen for miles. It rained here a couple of days ago and a few locals whined like it was the most unfair, ridiculous thing they could imagine. Sigh.

    1. neighbor and I got the new fence post in late yesterday afternoon. It rained all night and is raining now (light drizzle). Expected to continue 40 days and 40 nights.

  1. Checked out The Men Who Stare At Goats from the library, watched over the weekend. Best part of the movie was the photo for the DVD cover - film went downhill from there. Characters were 1-D, plot was probably a parody of a Greek tragedy I never read, and I never believed the characters were where they were supposed to be (Iraq vs. New Mexico). Bridges like he just walked off the set of TBL. 2.4 on NBB 14-pt. scale.

        1. You'll need to get a billy goat involved at some point if you want milk to make the cheese, of course. Bonus: goat kids are the cutest babies of any species.

And Philo's response to bS is awesome.

      1. I see three names on the FKB list as assigned/committed to doing columns for November (SBG), December (spoons) and January (Can o' Corn). I don't know whether those were for last winter or this winter....

  2. Why are there so many bowl games? Here's why: On Saturday the New Mexico Bowl (ESPN) got a 1.9 rating. Butler upsetting No. 1 Indiana (CBS) gets a 1.5 rating
