All day yesterday, my hamstrings ached and really, my whole body was still feeling the effects of Sunday's workout. I decided that today will be a day off. My muscles need rest after five consecutive hard workouts. I think it is really important for me to maintain some sort of workout activity when I am not home, otherwise when I come back, I can't really take these higher intensity workouts. Part of the problem is that I'm still trying to get into a better physical shape and part of it is that I'm 48 years old. I may not make my 20 workouts for the month, but that's not because I didn't workout today. It's because of last week. I'm at 13 workouts, with 9 days left. It is doable, but I have to commit to it in ND.

I'm not going to be making my goal after an extended weekend at the in-laws. I'm feeling OK about it though, since I've been eating better and feeling better. I'm on vacation this week, so workouts will probably be down a little because of that too, but I'm gonna make sure I get something in so that next week I can jump back on more fully.
My wife went to spin class this morning with the same instructor who led Sunday's workout. The instructor was complaining about her legs hurting after that one. So, I wasn't alone.
Just signed up for Cheshire, CT Half Marathon, April 28th. This is week 1 of training. Mon 3mi. Wed 3.5mi. Thu 3mi. Sat 5mi. This after some lower back spasms last Saturday that seem to have gone away (fingers crossed).
I just did half-hour of upper-body lifting. I feel like Jell-O. That's a good thing.
If MLB jerseys were soccer kits finally hit the AL Central.
I'm not a big jersey guy (more of a sweatshirt guy). In fact I don't think I've ever owned a jersey for any sport, but I would buy that Twins kit.
