I think I need to get to ND and get straightened out.
My thinking here is that I'm overexerting myself in these classes. More to the point, the classes cause me to exert at a high level and that leads to me being sore and longing for rest. My plan in ND is to really commit to working out there, but at a more leisurely pace. This should work out some of the soreness and also keep me at a level so that when I come back to MN, I am more capable of the strenuous workouts. Yesterday was a non-workout day and today is likely more of the same. I did not do well eating, and the scale has crept up a little.
What I think I need is a more consistent approach of good workouts, so that I can handle the more strenuous ones without ending up wishing I was dead.
What does 200 Calories look like?
Now that's a helpful link, especially for those of us who have trouble calculating/visualizing our caloric intake - thanks sean.
It's super long but this NYT Magazine article on processed foods is absolutely amazing. Also Twin Cities appear to be ground zero in developing such foods.
Finishing my first week of no sweets. Not too tough, however I wish someone would eat that bag of caramel corn in our cupboard... very tempting.
