Key inning: The ninth. The score was tied at five. Three singles, two of them coming with two out, put the Rock Cats up 6-5. Evan Bigley then hit a two-run triple and scored on a Harold Garcia single to put New Britain ahead 9-5. In the bottom of the ninth, a walk and three two-out singles plated two runs to tie the score at 9-7. Another walk loaded the bases, but Michael Tonkin retired Rick Hague on a ground out to end the game.
