Pedro Hernandez
v
Justin Masterson
The Twins predicted well and this game starts two and a half hours before the Wild game. Plenty of time to determine if Hernandez is able to continue bolstering his Cy Young season before the important game starts.
there goes the no hitter
and the shutout!
Adventures in Left, featuring Oswaldo Arcia.
whoa HR PLOUFFE
YAYDNROJM.
Mike Aviles is with Cleveland? ugh, one of my least favorite opponents (Peter Borjus, Billy Butler to name a couple others)
I've always kind of liked Aviles, but I completely understand why he's a least favorite opponent.
Dozier should just keep stealing until someone can cleanly field/hold the ball.
is it time to start to worry about Ryan Doumit?
He was pretty bad in April last year too. I wouldn't worry too much yet.
I know i learned my lesson from last year.
Pedro's not winning the Cy Young this year.
rally time.
hard to start a rally when the ump doesnt rule a HBP
I think it was an Inge-HBP.
called it!
Doumit!
routine GB to SS, but with the shift, no one is there
CHICKY CHICKY PARM PARM!!!!!
That's what you get for not bringing in the LOOGY.
Parmiagiana-Reggiano!
SSS, but Mauer has thrown out 5/8 baserunners this season.
Tonight's, and a few others, weren't all that close.
I've been able to see very few games this year, so I was going strictly off stats. Does your comment mean:
A - They were bad baserunners who were relatively easy pickings
B - Mauer and the pitchers have done such a great job that runners don't get a good jump
C - A and B
D - Something else
I think a little bit of B and D. The throws have seemed accurate and strong. The pitchers may be helping some as well, but it's hard to tell from the broadcast.
someone (Doogie or Mackey) made a note that the pitchers the Twins signed in the offseason are very fast to home when runners are on. I wish I could remember when I saw that article.
Provus or Dazzle mentioned they're pitching out more this year. Also, we don't have Pavano anymore.
Cool. I love it every time I see a YDNROJM in the game logs.
Back in college, wIth math exam questions, if I had no clue, I would pick either 1, 0, -1, or infinity.
+ infinity
was 9/56 (14%) last year
Re: Mendoza Line - Hicks hanging out in Tierra del Fuego.
Booing for checking the runner or booing PEDS at the plate?
Provus sounded like we were being Giambi-nated there for a second
That was hit very far, vertically and horizontally.
flashbacks of Mike Trombley there
Don't asplode Burton.
nerts
Time to make up for the miscue and hit a homer Dozier.
Dozier scraping one there - ugly - we'll take it.
Tribe's music guy playing 'Helter Skelter' over the loudspeaker for this pitching change.
Loogster riot.
that pitch looked outside. Where is FOXTrax?
Seems to only appear late in regular FSN games.
Morneau could bunt for a double.
Wild down 1-0. boooo
Weathering the storm. Outshot 17-7 in the first.
Same old story in the playoffs, it gets a lot harder to score. They're going to need three or more in this one to win, I think.
yeah, this one is pretty much done. kane just made the D look foolish for the 4th goal.
of course the wild make it 4-2 seconds after i post that. i'm thinking it's still a bit too late though.
Fiend!!
Let's play two!
Consuela-biscuit in the line-up.
Wilken seems like a pretty easy name to pun.
BILKEN!
Ratch.
quick turnaround with a noon game tomorrow
So we get a point for losing in overtime, right? No? Well, then, we'll just have to settle for 149-13!
