If anyone deserves extra innings, it's the Brewers and Twins.

I decided this shouldn't be categorized as "uncategorized"
I should decide to do these earlier than five seconds before I fall asleep.
I was looking for the "I'm Bad at This" tag that cheaptoy could have used on last night's game log, but unfortunately, that was just the title.
On pace for 69-93. Boy, the Brewers suck, so we've got that going for us. I just want to point out that the Twins have 13 pitchers and 3 catchers on the roster right now.
Gleeman profiled in Strib. I do think he's capable of doing more on a national level and would hope he'd try to do more. Also, lay off the Chinese food, Aaron!
Love the Strib page 2 of article for one paragraph.
agreed. I think he could do some big things, especially if paired up with a complimentary partner
Now I'm hungry for chinese food. Dang diet!
Have you ever listened to Jalen Rose's podcast? Jalen and Aaron are pretty far apart as far as what they bring to the table, but I like to listen to Jalen a lot. The guy that he has on his podcast is really good at getting stuff out of Jalen. That's what Aaron needs. Not someone to play a drunken devil's advocate, but someone who realizes that Aaron is the show and brings it out of this guy, plus, you know, steers him away from the creepy self-deprecation.
a more aesthetically pleasing voice wouldn't hurt either.
Shocker: throwing out the first pitch at a baseball game has become just another marketing opportunity. However, there is some interesting history in the article.
William Howard Taft is thought to have been the first president to take part in the pregame ritual when he tossed a ball from the stands at Griffith Stadium in Washington at the start of the 1910 season. John Fitzgerald, a Boston mayor known as Honey Fitz, who was John F. Kennedy’s grandfather, threw one before the first official game at Fenway Park in 1912. Gov. Al Smith of New York threw a first pitch to commemorate the opening of the old Yankee Stadium in 1923.
All honorees back then threw the baseball from the stands, and no demarcation point is clear for when the ceremony moved to the pitcher’s mound. Rather, it appears to have migrated gradually around the late 1970s and early 1980s.
I remember (ok fine, my parents had the game on VHS growing up of) August Busch throwing the first pitch from the stands in the 1987 World Series.

Oh yeah, definitely lost its exclusivity. I mean, I threw out a first pitch (after winning a fundraiser).
twitter fans, programming nerds and scifi fans might enjoy this.
January 12, 2017: Twitter updates its appearance and coding, making all past tweets unacceptible.
Seems like this ticks off everyone, within five days, no one seems to care.
Its stories like this that make me weep at the Wolves' front office ineptitude. I just can’t even comprehend this level of foresight, quality analysis of both talent & potential, knowledge of team & organizational chemistry, and just basic professionalism.
that's a very nice piece.
Gardy on Jean Segura:
''Oh my, goodness gracious, he hits about everything you throw up there,'' Minnesota manager Ron Gardenhire said. ''The guy's got one of the shortest, compact swings you've ever seen in your life and he seems to be on everything.''
And thus the more family-friendly OMGG was born. Don't say that Gardy never did anything for you.
Today's SHOCKING NEWS: The Cleveland Cavaliers would trade the number one pick in the 2013 draft for Kevin Love.
As long as the Wolves throw in the #9 and #26 picks and their 2014 first rounder!
In other news I have a fresh case of Bud Light cans I'll trade for four Surly Coffee Benders.
Was that proposal written in comic sans?
Plouffe activated, Colabello optioned to Rochester.
Three catchers. Thirteen pitchers.
I hope our relief pitchers like hitting!
Fortunately, the Twins are back at Target Field.
Gleeman points out that this means the Twins cleared a spot on the 40-man roster so they could give Chris Colabello eleven at-bats.
And they lost Joe Benson in the process. Which is probably not the end of the world with the OF talent in the minors, but he's got a better chance of contributing than, say, Wilkin Ramirez.
I dunno. Ramirez' translating skills are worth at least a win.
+1 ¿Qué diablos?
Don't forget his leadership skills. How would the Twins' player know how to interlock their fingers over their heads?
Whenever you can keep a fourth catcher making $700,000 who hits like a pitcher on the 40 man, you do it.
Does anyone think that any team would pay to claim Butera? He'd surely clear waivers with that contract.
Even if they did, it would be addition through subtraction.
None of them are Kyle Gibson either.
He's only had two shut outs in his last 4 outings. We need more consistency from the young man. Do you see Pelf out there battling every time up? That's consistency.
Yep, no starters have been as consistently bad as the Twins'.
If you have 12 minutes to spare Grantland did a 30 for 30 short on one of the defining moments of my childhood and what happened to the man, Clint Malarchuk, afterwards. Worth your time for sure.
Joe Mauer is a top 100 value in the history of the MLB draft, or something.
Mauer was the first pick overall, huh. I don't seem to remember that. Who was taken second?

speaking of comic sans, the NCAA sucks.
