Batting stars: Chris Colabello was 2-for-4 with a double and a home run, his fourteenth. Doug Bernier was 2-for-4 with two doubles and scored once. Dan Rohlfing was 2-for-3 with a walk and a home run, his second.
Pitching stars: Michael Tonkin struck out two in two perfect innings. Blake Martin pitched 1.2 scoreless innings, giving up no hits and two walks.
Opposition stars: Joey Terdoslavich was 2-for-3 with a walk and a home run. Todd Cunningham was 2-for-5 with a double. Juan Cedeno struck out two in 2.2 scoreless innings, allowing two hits.
Key inning: The fifth. The Red Wings led 2-0. With one out, Colabello hit a home run. Deibinson Romero singled, followed by a two-run homer by Jeff Clement. Rohlfing followed that up with another homer. Rochester had three home runs in four batters, producing four runs and a 6-0 lead, which turned out to be more than enough.
"Prospect" watch: Cole DeVries had a four-hit shutout through five innings before hitting the wall in the sixth. His line for the game was 5.1 innings, three runs, eight hits, no walks, and five strikeouts.

Batting stars: Daniel Ortiz was 3-for-5. Kyle Knudson was 2-for-3 with a walk. Jordan Parraz was 2-for-5 with an RBI.
Pitching stars: Dakota Watts struck out two in a scoreless inning, giving up a hit and a walk. Daniel Turpen gave up two hits in a scoreless inning.
Opposition stars: Blake Treinen gave up one run in five innings despite allowing eight hits and two walks. Brian Goodwin was 3-for-5 with two runs and an RBI. Jimmy Van Ostrand was 2-for-5 with a double, scoring once and driving in two.
Key inning: The third. The Senators broke up a scoreless tie with a four-spot. Josh Johnson singled, stole second, and scored on a Goodwin single. Consecutive doubles by Steven Sousa and Van Ostrand made it 3-0. Justin Bloxom singled to send Van Ostrand to third, and a force out brought in the fourth run.
Prospect watch: Other than the third inning, D. J. Baxendale pitched well. He pitched six innings, giving up four runs on six hits and a walk, striking out one.
Other: The Rock Cats had twelve hits in the game, all singles. They stranded fifteen runners.

Opposition stars: Patrick Wisdom was 2-for-4 with a double, scoring once and driving in one. Ildemaro Vargas was 2-for-4, scoring once and driving in two. Jeremy Schaffer hit a grand slam.
Key inning: The ninth. The Kernels led 9-5. Tyler Jones, in his third inning of work, struck out the first batter, then walked the next two. Josue Montanez came in and gave up a single to Vargas to load the bases. Schaffer then hit his grand slam to tie the score. The next batter was hit by a pitch and Alex Muren came in. A wild pitch sent the runner to second and Wisdom was smart enough to find a hole, grounding a single up the middle to bring in what turned out to be the winning run.
Prospect watch: Byron Buxton was 2-for-6, scoring once and driving in one.

Pitching stars: Starter Elias Villasana struck out three in four innings, giving up an unearned run on one hit and no walks. Eduardo Del Rosario pitched three shutout innings, giving up one hit and two walks. Sebastian Perez struck out two in two shutout innings, giving up one hit.
